for a movie that costs what 300Mil ? it better be god damn good. But with Cruise, Speilberg, Fanning, it should be really good.

I just watched the trailer and...it was crap. It shows nothing until that explosion at the end, and the special effects there looked like something out of the TV show "the outer limits" :x I wish they would stop all this remaking of old films, just make new ones godammit!

It's a teaser. It's not supposed to show footage, just build buzz.

To counter ReNo here, Spielberg is known for creating movies that are unique or if not - special and refreshing. I have full trust in this ;o~

the footage was created specifically for the teaser

and it wasn't about the explosion, it was about the feeling of walking out of your house and seeing that big green cloud of death on the horizon and not being able to do anything about it.

Spielberg makes movies like this, like no one else. Full confidence. This will easily be one of his best ever.

Teasers very rarely do anything for my anticipation of a movie to be honest, and this one just isn't any different. Could be a decent film, but I don't hold out much hope for it being anything more than a new Independance Day. Had to be set in modern day America didn't it
