Just finished the first ep too, amazing stuff. When he
rounded the corner on his horse and all those zombies started chasing him... I sat there with my mouth wide open in disbelief. The horse being eaten alive was brutal.
Definitely hooked on this show now.

Watched the pilot!
I never watch series until at least the first season is completed, cos I always feel a big urge to see more and having to wait weeks to watch another ep kills me, still I knew this would be good so I watched and it still blew expectations!
Shit is better than a lot of zombie movies out there! One of my fav zombie movies is Dawn of the Dead (2004) and this series captures that exact same feeling, i love it! 
Watched the pilot, It reminds me of 28 days later which is definitely a good thing Looking forward!
Liked it. Zombies need to run though and look less like dressed actors. Didn't like the
oh-so-romantic-love-problems-ahead part in the survivor camp.
strangely enough this didnt really spark me up... not giving up on it though, just a little less exited then i thought i would be.
at the horse eating scene i couldnt help seeing all those zombies just grabbing intestines and NOT eat it for the duration of the scene. im mean... come on.
Well it's a well known fact that
horse intestines give zombies indigestion.
This goes for most zombiefilms, but I think its weird how, when the zombies finally get their prey they eat it down to the bones.
As with the horse.
But how can there be so many whole zombies if all preys always gets eaten??
I hate that I noticed this.

how tha hell will he get out of that tank alive, but i bet it got the keys in it so he will just drive it away..

The Walking Dead comic was released before 28 Days Later in America. And even considering the earlier British release it would have been impossible to rip off the idea in such a short time. Just a coincidence that both have a similar beginning.

Oh my bad. I only read the German Wikipedia entry which cited October 2003 as release for the comics.
Well this was pretty damn good, the visual effects were really well done for a TV show, like film quality! The acting from the lead was good too, I felt like he really threw himself into the part after waking up in the hospital.
I always wanted to get into the comic series because I heard great things about it but I'm not a fan of B&W artwork in graphic novels.

Rly? For me it felt cheesy as fuck, and unnecessary!
I think AMC has hit another cult classic wonder with this one, I was totally blown away by the visual quality and acting in the first episode. Takes over from Breaking Bad very nicely
