I find that really weird, because I am running it at 1080p, on ultra mode dx11 and I get 40/50 FPS, sometimes i feel it drops to 30 when in combat. (I have vsync and AA off tho, I dont feel those add to my experience, and they are really expensive on performance)

Weird part is, my machine is getting old actually, I only updated to a GTX560ti a year ago or something to give it a bit more life span, so I'm very surprised how well it runs. Boarderlands2 doesn't run this well, i actually had to drop resolution to 1280*900 on that game to have it running smooth.

For those having stutering issues, it is a known problem, not sure if they are going to fix it but you can fix it yourself, just increase the PoolSize for textures.

    http://crashwiki.com/fix-bioshock-i…ng-audio-noise/

Bioshock Infinite Stutters and Freezes in-gameGo to commonBioshock InfiniteEngineConfig and open BaseEngine.ini. Search for ‘PoolSize’ and set the value higher, depending on how much available RAM / VRAM you have available. We increased the value to 512 and some of the stuttering seems to have vanished.

I recommend everyone does this btw, it completely removed the streaming issue I was having.

We tried. Jason wanted him in the game badly. Copyright and everything made us stay away from easter eggs.

Very impressed thus far, it's surprisingly in line with bioshock 1, which I wasn't expecting for some reason

LOL that video is awesome. I remember doing a lot of research on Wounded knee while working on the Hall of Heroes. That part of our history is tragic, made me pretty sad

American/British history is kinda like what happens in all those sci-fi time travel movies, when the timeline gets split. America is one possible timeline, Britain the other. I think you got the better one though, really. Great work.

Finally got around to reading this article, saw it a couple of months back and have been saving it until I'd finished Infinite in the fear that it might spoil something (it doesn't). Definitely recommend reading it~

I'll get killed here now probably, but... As someone who really didn't like the first Bioshock, I tried to play through it several times but always just made it a couple of hours in before I was completely bored with it. I enjoyed looking at the environments but that's about it.

Would there be any point for me to look into this game? I kinda want to for the art again, but I definitely don't wanna pay full price if I'll dislike playing it as much as the first one

There's always the option to wait a while and pick it up when it's cheap, but I'm even doing that less and less with games if I'm just interested in looking at the art and don't enjoy a min of playing it, just don't cut it anymore I guess... Same with movies.

With that said, it does look fantastic

I think they "fixed" that in Bioshock Infinite, there's always something to look forward to in the game, level after level the plot really gathers your interest. And of course, you'll really learn to love Elizabeth. It's one of a kind game, wait for the price to go down if you dont wanna pay full price, but definitely don't skip it.

    Haha!

I always thought it would make more sense if she threw you a little sack full of coins or something, rather than one coin. Took me a while to realise she was handing me more than 1 dollar!

    Never been there before!

There is also a DLC being released today that is basically an arena with waves, like the Mad Moxxi DLC in Borderlands : http://www.joystiq.com/2013/07/30/bio…ouds-out-today/
