I don't care if it's all staged and all I do is pull the trigger here and there, that was awesome!

Aye it definitely looks like a level that was custom build to show to the press rather than an actual vertical slice. Looks sweet tho. Not really a fan of the art direction, but the universe looks great. Love the verticality they're hinting at.

It looks alright but nothing we've not seen before, but then I'm not a fan of the Bioshock series, wish they'd dump it and make System Shock 3...

I think they should never do SS3 tbh, it will never even come close to SS2 and propably gets dumbed down like most of stuff nowadays so its not worth it propably.

Not to be mr negativity, but isnt this just exactly the same bioshock packaged with a new layer of paint? I mean, You have plasmids (wind, water, electicity, etc...sound familiar?) splicers (the mental townsfolk), and big daddys (the robot things) the only new aspect I can see is the possibility of cooperative play with your female companion.

Im not saying it's crap, I mean im sure it will be nicely polished as with all of their games, but for me it just seems like just more of the same, and as a result rather uninteresting. I loved Bioshock, but when I'd finished it I had no desire for any more, one was enough I thought.

Seems like big studios just dont take any risks anymore, I would have loved to have seen them work on an original ip.

Well, if it's not broken... Don't try to fix it.

Bioshock has a unique formula, I totally understand if they would try to milk it a bit more, I would do the same. The thing is, Bioshock gameplay is not exactly unique since it's a total rip of SS2. But yeap, i totally agree that no one takes risks no more, and I don't see this changing anytime soon.

We as an industry got so much to grow still...

I think that this actually IS part of the growing up process unfortunately.

See what happens to movies nowadays, too. They're doing frickin captain america now :S

Good point, and yep, cinema industry did grow a lot since it's teenage years too, but it has definitely came to the point where their going back.

One of the reasons why their going back is to apeal to the nostalgia of the people, who doesnt know Capt America, Hulk, or Spider Man.

But you see a lot more inovation in the movies industry than you see in the games industry, for now at least. Hopefully this will change, and we're the ones who are responsible to change it, it is in our hands.

If you think for a second, most of the inovative games are indy games. Because it's the only card they have to play. Since they don't have the budget to do a AAA game with SPLOSIONZ they need to be original! That's why indy is becoming the newest awesome trend, i mean look at minecraft, limbo, etc.

    i disagree 100% !

neither are particularly innovative at the moment but the game industry still beats the movie industry to a pulp right now and for the last decade if you ask me !

even if you did see more innovation in the film industry, you could potentially also argue that it has reached a more mature point, whereas the games industry is still young and in its own defining (teenage?) period.

like warby also said, i think that the games industry offers very much innovation. you basically have to; this is a new medium that has given us a new form of expression which was basically unfathomable 100 years ago (this goes both for analogue and digital games). people are exploring the boundaries of the space and push it to its limits, and right now, there aren't really any as far as imagination goes (ignoring developer stuff such as polygon limits etc that are not central to the game experience).

Yep, everything in her is anatomically incorrect, lol. Looks very stylized tho, i guess that's what matters in here.
