*edit --There's a second video but it's not live right now. I'll add the link when it's working.

Check out the website and videos. It's so good to finally be able to show something publicly

Looks pretty cool I have to say. Second video is private though. Looks massive, I assume you have some kick ass tools to have built all that.

All of the buildings in the videos were procedurally generated from GIS data and then quite a few of them were then edited using the building editor which is part of the game. For a few afternoons we just had a beer & build playtest where we downed tools and everyone had a go at making some pretty buildings

This is all explained in the second video, but it's not live for some reason. I'll re-add the link when it's available.

I totally have this Lego Architecture Series Empire State Building, and you are gonna get sued for using it

Rad concept if it's tied to social networks, and makes a compelling visual representation of your actual networks. Very cool

    I dont understand this..

Are we supposed to build our own cities, except all our cities is one big city ala farmville? Or are we supposed to build the real world, which can eventually be used in a google-maps kind of thing?

    and tubgirl.

Still, looks interesting. Aside from racing/flying/boating...what about unleashing tornadoes, killer bees, alien invations, world wars and other even edgier stuff? I get the building and social interaction stuff...I like both a lot...but more stuff to do seems cool. Farmville/Fronteirville/Pr0nVille are just clicking...really boring imho. This at least looks like there is some more interesting stuff but I also gather it's not intended to run inside Facebook. Or is it? zomg!

The construction side of it involves building up the world. The buildings are generated from real world data, and players can use the editor to make improvements and make the world better. Beyond that I probably can't say much here at the moment

APB is doing pretty badly, so I wouldn't be surprised if this turns out to be true. A real shame.

It's been a very strange couple of months. In all honesty, the moment restructuring was announced we knew this was the most likely outcome -- we've been living in hope of a reprieve, but they pulled the trigger yesterday. At least we got to show our work to the world before the project was canned.
