Still havn't played through the placement matches, and I even fail hard at the Basic challenges. Might as well just yank the cable out of my computer when I run SC2. Multitasking gives me a headache by just the thought of it...

Whats your build order
I build a few SCVs until I need some more supply depots. I build 2 of them with a bit of space in between to block the chokepoint and when my mineral income is great enough I plonk a barrack in the empty space and start to build 4-ish Marines. Once my resource income is higher, I'll build another barracks as well as a refinery, then, when the barracks are complete, I upgrade it with a Tech lab so I can start spawning Marauders.
It's after this point that I'm unsure what to do. Usually when I push out I get completely annihilated.

I've yet to play retail SC2 MP but in the beta my most successful (relatively successful I still lost half the time) strategy was to get a barracks going and start pouring out a mass of marines, and then get a starport and start making endless flying units (I can't recall their name, viking maybe?). I'd send the ground units to attack, leaving about 15 behind for base defense (invariably as soon as I sent out my invaders the other team's guys passed by on a different unseen path and attacked MY base), and while the marines hit the front door I'd fly in the planes from behind and murder their gatherers.

Woah, goddamn. Just got to that lava mission (I'm taking the game slow, RTS isn't really my genre) and suddenly my GPU spiked to 95C. Turned the settings down to minimum and the card seriously dropped 20 degrees.

One strategy that really works now against Protoss is Ghosts with EMP + Marines/Marauders.
The usual strategy in Terran vs Protoss is going mass Marauders with Marines and some Mech, so the Protoss player is going to do Sentries, Stalkers and Immortals or Colossus.
However, if done correctly, the Ghost build (called Gretorp Build) will completely catch the Protoss player off-guard and you will steam-roll him in a matter of seconds.
Here's how to do it:
10 Supply Depot on choke to wall-in and prevent the Protoss from seeing your base. 9 Depot and 12 Barracks works too.
10 Barracks on choke to wall, immediately train Marines.
13 Refinery.
14 Orbital Command.
15 Supply Depot.
15 Ghost Academy.
At this point, make 2 or 3 more Barracks but not any Tech Lab nor Reactor yet.
When your third Barrack is done, put a Tech Lab. You should still have only one Refinery. When it's done, pump out a Ghost. Research Stim Packs ASAP.
When the Ghost is done, take your second gas and add another Tech Lab.
Scan the Protoss base to see if he's going for an Observer, as he can't see your base at all if you walled correctly.
The usual unit production at this point is 1 Ghost, 1 Marauder and 2 Marines. Do not do Reactors.
If the Protoss made an Observer, when you see it, EMP it with a Ghost and destroy it ASAP.
Move to his ramp/choke, scan it, and destroy the possible defenses he's going to build as he's more likely to panic now.
EMP the Sentries first to drain their energy and prevent them from putting forcefields.
EMP the rest of the Protoss army.
Don't forget to build units with your Barracks, put a rally point at his ramp/choke.
Snipe every unit you see and EMP like crazy while Stim Packs with Marauders/Marines.
GG.
If you do this within 10-15 minutes, you should be okay. Otherwise, switch to Starport+Reactors to build Vikings quickly as he'll try to switch to Colossus.

I think its pretty universal atleast those who I have talked would say TT is just a waste of a team LOL You really do not see a lot of 2v2 teams that are TT and win a lot. I mean all you needed was Zx to beat a TT team in the beg of the beta, as they had yet to nerf the crap out of roaches which where just raping T. I mean we saw numbers that showed that in most cases TT or T anything for that matter both in 1v1 and 2v2 were just getting raped.
The other issue with T atleast for a period of time, not so much now was cost for econ. In looking at numbers you would see that in order for the T to really get his econ moving for the macro game it was costing them almost double the amount of minerals compared to Z and P. This is why we saw things like build times and unit costs cut for a lot of T units during the beta.
Yeah, I definatly feel that the armor nerf for roaches was the good way to go. Especially for the protoss, who struggled really hard when going straight for Stalkers against a Z who went roaches. I dont play in high tier, so my opinion isn't that valid, but I feel that when you play TT and one goes mass marines, while the other goes mass marauders you kick some serious ass early to mid game. You struggle if you cant kill your opponents with your first push tho.

I'm actually starting to think Stalkers are overpowered. With blink and a bit of micro, you can pretty much screw over anything. Roaches included, who I think have a shorter range to begin with.

Terrible shame it was Idra he was playing! that guy is a douche.

Yeah Idra is a butthurt when he loses, but he's a good player.

haha that was cool!

Laughed heartily at the taunting via lifting off and placing down the barracks.

The editor is really too complex for me though.

I'm designing a The Thing-style level but I don't understand the trigger system at all and I'm super lost in the data editor. This seriously demotivates me rather fast. I even fail to do basic stuff like a leaderboard even with the help of a tutorial.

man I love these videos ... such an awesome game!!!
-
Those videos do not make Idra look like the super pro zerg he's played up to be. Also he moved to South Korea to "persue a career in starcraft" lmao
-
People treating Blizzard games as a spectator sport has always confused me.
-
So if it wasn't a blizzard game it would make more sense?
