The valvetime review was spot on.

They've built a completely new engine from the ground up, with just 5/6 people, that supports up to 32 players in a server (though not recommended), with hundreds of entities doing their own thing (buildings, MACs, ARCs, etc) and it looks awesome. Give them a break.
Performance is always being worked on.
Love the game ![]()

welcome to video games. I don't care who did what or how much work it was. I paid money and performance is shit. Any QA would have found this if QA was even done. I have a ridiculously good machine and this runs worse than Crysis onULTRAOMFG settings at 2560x1600.

enjoyed what I played and like the atmosphere of the game though. Mouse input is pretty weird however, feels very floaty.

Haha it's not some big secret. Everybody knows about the performance issues. Try lowering your resolution and turn AO off. It's only gonna get better ![]()
Yeah mouse input is still a bit weird, they're working on a fix atm.
We have a big PT team that tests the game every night, so most of the bugs have been ironed out so far.
game plays fine, rick is running it on a Compac presario
Yes I have it full too and no problem.
The game itself is very punishing ![]()
Make sure you turn Raw Input on in the menus and turn vsync off if you're having any mouse lag
Sittting on 14 hours played since release, really enjoying myself. My performance is fine, but am always ok with improvements... Kind of wish I had the extra cash to buy the special edition when I pre-odered, if only I had known I would have enjoyed it so muc... ![]()
We should organise a time that we can all play together at some point. I'm away this weekend, but maybe next week sometime?
Word! Next week I wrap up a few things so I'll have time to play (finally)!!! Thursdays are usually a good night for gaming... how about then?
Does NS2 have bots? That's probably my only viable option right now.
Any change that there will be a demo of some sorts? Because it's looking mighty impressive but I'm not sure it's my kinda game. I'm reluctant to pay for something I eventually won't play at all.
No no demo planed. Maybe a free weekend one day in the future, who knows.

lol pc gaming. where's the demo read the ruless why isn't there a cock in your mouth dux?
Thanks for the update. If there ever is a free weekend I will certainly try it out.
I played a long party this morning. In a 20 players server the battle was really interesting. But after 75 min I just gave up ![]()
