NS2 preorder now on steam!
-
#5 in the Steam Top Sellers

-
Did you expect anything less?

Congrats to you guys on the team!

-
Grats on the milestone, I have a new shiny armor now.
But my most wanted feature still isn't there yet: where is the female marine?

-
-
I really should play more of this man, some people at work really dig it too.
Sorry dux... CS:Go and all!

-
You'd rather play a remade game for the 5th time over something original with interesting ideas?

-
I still think that the game is too expensive. I love NS but I'm going to wait until the price drops or there's a promotion, i just don't think it's worth 23€.
And since CS:GO was mentioned, CS:GO costs 11€, less than half of what NS2 costs.

I'd say its about half as complex as well. Maybe complexity isn't what should justify the cost of a game, but CS is like 2+2 compared to NS.
Not dissing, CS requires a lot of aim and skill, but imo a lot less gameplay features to work on
-
I bought it when it was available, but you know what ? Didn't play a single game
Should try now, it was a mess on my PC but now should be ok, haha. -
CS:GO also only costs £12 because its essentially the same as CS:S. Pretty easy to price a game low when you didn't put much time or effort into it.
-
Yeah I dont really understand your point Barra. Sure it is a little up there in price but look at what you get for it. And all the people who pre ordered all those years ago get upgraded to the best version of the game and get a free copy too for their support. It's not as if you are getting charged up the ass for some lame EA DLC for Mass Effect or something.
-
20 bucks for a game as complex as NS2 is a real steal in my opinion. I gladly paid 40 bucks when the game was in alpha pre-order or something back in the day (can't remember the exact figure though), if not for the game, just for the huge amount of fun I had and still have on NS1. And what do you know, NS2 is awesome as well.
-
Hey I paid for the deluxe version as soon as it got up .. and guess what? I havn't played a single game online, cause I know I will just get pissed.
-
Yeah, it probably doesn't make much sense for you guys, but I think that for games like this the appropriate price is around 10€ or 15€, I don't think that complexity is really a factor to make the price higher than that, at least not for me. The current price falls out of my impulse buy range and makes me have to think a bit more if I should buy it or no.
I guess living in Portugal atm is starting to change the way I value games since we're all poor and shit
(really, we now are going to have to deduct 18% of our salaries to welfare, it used to be 11%, yay!) -
It's 18 quid. Fuckin hell. It's really not that much more expensive than other PC games.
-
Have I mentioned before that I'm from Portugal? Because, yes, 23€ is expensive atm. Maybe it's too much information but i earn around 570€ per month, once the new budget is approved it's going to drop to around 500€. My car loan for example costs me 210€ per month, add to that fuel and other expenses, I usually end with around 100€ at the end of each month to spend on stuff, so like I said before, yes it's expensive, when you put it into perspective. It's a big difference for me having to pay 10€ or 23€. I don't own any new AAA games because I can't afford them and I don't like pirating games, so I usually have to wait for steam discounts.
(fuck that's depressing)

I preordered this way back. Always found the beta to be too buggy and laggy to enjoy (no servers close to me I guess).
But I'm gonna fire this baby real soon again
