Hey Mapcore people! On behalf of Warby, Skjalg, Frie and the rest of Exit Strategy Entertainment, I would like to introduce our first game: Pirates of New Horizons

We are thrilled to announce our first indie game: "Pirates of New Horizons" ! What better way to celebrate this occasion than by uploading a batch of screenshots from the (hopefully) soon to be released prototype!

Plenty of media can be found over at our IndieDB page - including our brand new trailer!:

Game looks great. Typo, Logo and Trailer not so much. (which isn't too much of a bad thing considering you're doing a game and not a website-showreel )

Typo is being fixed. Warby and Zacker stayed up late last night in order to get the video out and missed it. All the media and the page on indiebd were created in like 3 days, because we wanted to enter the contest for winning a Unity Pro license.

As alluded to above, this is running on Unity (Indie).

You guys mind some insight in how your team is organised and what each of you does (and where)?

Warby creates ALL assets. 3d models, textures, animations,...he is a machine. Skjalg spent a month coding in Warby's bunker in Hamburg but now works from Norway. Zacker just joined the happy family and is currently at Warby's place, fixing bugs like a champ. And me, I do everything else from cheering the team to hopefully cooking dinner for these guys some day in our own studio.

    Why not the in-house engine?!

Cool stuff guys. If I had to crit something from the trailer it would be the animations apparent stiffness.

dux rick d already called me out for it on facebook ... yes I KNOW MY ANIMATIONS ARE C-GRADE or worse !

should there ever be funding for this thing

the first thing money will go into is hiring a fulltime animator !

Warby has been feeding me videos and pics from this thing for like 2 years now, very impressive, especially what Warby has managed to do by himself.

Hope you guys have luck with this.

    Love the environment.

What tools are you guys using. I know unity. But what for the animations, modelling, and texturing?
