Best mice for teh level designz?

If you use anything but the Logitech MX518, you are doing it wrong.

It's because there's more traction on rock than water. You should try a consistant image of material like marble or polished wood. Don't use ice though, that's dangerous.

I'm using a G5v2 for everything, work and gamming. (I also have two, one to use at work and one at home) The only thing people complain about when use my mouse for brief seconds is that the scroll wheel is way too hard, but i guess i got used to it.

As a pad, i use a steelseries one.

Habu is cool, I like the quick buttons for adjusting senesitivity, really useful if people always come to your desk and want to do something in ya map :roll:

I had two Habu's, both RMB died after about 3 months Amazing mouse otherwise.

Best mice for any kind of design work are those with lots of buttons and a higher-than-average DPI I think. I particularly like Logitech's, especially the newer ones that come with sideways scrolling as I can use them as regular buttons too. I've been very happy with this one at work as a good balance between a price that keeps managers happy and performance that keeps me happy:

One with buttons on both sides of the mouse, for easy and fast web page surfing.

I use a Logitech G9, but the scroll wheel does not like to be depressed and held, so I don't recommend it if you have to use that button a lot (like measuring distance in UnrealEd). Other than that issue, it works great. Lots of buttons, on-the-mouse controls for DPI increasing/decreasing, free scroll or click scroll settings on the mouse, and with the right weight and grip, it's super comfortable for long periods of use.

I love my Logitech MX518 so much that I bought one for work, too. Cheap and very nice.

Got a MX510 at work and at home, still love it. Had it both places for like 7 years now, still works like a charm

I paid one dollar for this. It has side buttons and it's optical and it was a dollar, thus fitting all of my mouse requirements.

You can use pretty much any mouse as long as it has three buttons or 2 + press-able scroll wheel.

I use the Roccat Kova, one of those bullshit shiny bling bling mice.

I bought it because I'm a claw gamer, and this was the only one with two side buttons and good gaming performance.

So far I like it a lot. It has a nice wide wheel, side buttons are decent but not as good as the razer death adder. And it has big feet.

Things I do not like is the edge running along the top, especially on the mouse wheel.

What I like the most and regret not buying earlier is the big thick cloth mouse mat. God that thing is so much nicer then a plastic hard one.

The mat is the roccat taito.
