So, last semester, we had 3 months to produce a little mod/little level for a videogame class in school. Released it back in december and might as well post it here, if only a bit late hehe. Read the README below for more info. I was the only team member on it who had some Source experience, but for the others, it was the first time working on a game/mod. So, by all means, it will probably feel very amateurish to you all =P. Looking back on it now though, we could probably do a much better job now. Also, using Maya and Source...ugh. Was such a hassle!

--Quietus-- You are a detective named Hughes who is called to investigate strange events and mysterious murders that have been happening in a small village of New England. The prologue in this short demo is in reality the end of the story. If an eventual game ever comes from it, it'll be up to you to find out how you got to this point and solve the mysteries in this small town.

Your goal in this demo is to find a way out of the room at all costs. Looks for clues, visual cues and audio cues that point you to elements of interests in the room.

    ---------------------------

    Requirements:

    - Any Valve Source games with the Source SDK Base

    Installation:

    - Extract quietus.zip to your Steam/steamapps/SourceMods folder and restart Steam to play

    Known issues:

    - Ragdoll of corpse deforms pretty badly. Weren't able to get a good result after MANY hours of trying. If anyone has information on how to fix this, feel free to contact us.

    - Some bounding box issues here and there that you can find if you play around with all the items.

    - Probably some more.

This was a small mod produced for a videogame class in the span of 3 months with Maya 2009. A heavy emphasis was put in the visuals, ambiance and atmosphere of the place since we are in a 3D Animation program. Gameplay-wise, it is a first-person horror puzzle adventure. Solve the little puzzles and get to the end to complete the prologue.
