I was skeptical at first but it is a very impressive short film.

I think it could have looked better with some grading and color correction.
At 6:50 one of the dudes was eating snow, he shouldn't do that, you can get worms in your stomach then ![]()

LOL, I have never heard of getting worms from eating snow, at least I never did from all the years living with snow
Oh I forgot to mention that apparently the film was created with only spending $200 something.

Dude its amateur film lol. There was a great use of camera angles and technical tricks. Also the use of background merging and special effects were very well done.
Colour correction isn't really that hard to do if you've got an eye for it, it may be an amateur film but that's no reason to hold back constructive criticism — it would make a huge difference, practically nothing in the film industry isn't colour corrected nowadays. ![]()
I dunno about worms but eating snow doesn't seem like a great plan. There could be anything in there, bugs, bird shit, etc... ![]()
You can tell these guys have all their military experience from video games.

Amateur or not, they're still using some advanced effects and camera stuff for sure like you said. Why not polish it perfectly and add a grading or correction layer on top of it all? Using advanced effects and clear cuts / camera work is usually something you don't see in amateur films.

Maybe they need your criticism then. It wont help mentioning it on here
Besides color correction doesnt make or break a film. It isnt needed for a good production, it just adds a small piece to the pie. There are many more important aspects to crit about. I thought it was well done for a 200 dollar fan film. I donno about color correction in films.
no goddamnit! even for 200 dollars you can get excellent color correction and they should have yadda yadda yadda...
waaaaaay to picky, close this thread

You're really taking this very personally now
I was just saying it was well done but needed things like X and Y. Forget it.
Yeah a bit OTT reaction, do you know them or something?
It's no different to when people post game screenshots and even if most of it does look awesome, of course people will mention the things that are lacking. It's the nature of designers and artists. ![]()
Well its always pleasant to say something nice about the thing first, THEN come with the negative feedback. ![]()
Its not so much personal, its more annoyed then anything. I donno why but I feel people are just way to spoiled or something. Not saying any of you are, err I have just been stressed out this week. Gonna go eat a sandwich made entirely out of bacon. ![]()
