I finished SP earlier, and just finished co-op in about 4.5hrs with a random German. i think it's the best game valve has ever made, i loved

and how even after however many hours it took, it never felt like you were doing the same things over and over.

also, how does co-op with other players work? we checked the hub afterwards, and we both had ticks next to each level, but if you play with someone else, can you only play levels both of you have already completed, or does only one player need to have them unlocked?

You can select whichever level you want once in the hub, whether one of two or both people have played them before. I'm doing my coop run with a friend in the US who had already gone through half of it himself before we started.

Btw, did no one notice the obvious IP crossover at the end of SP?

That screenshot is so super ugly, I can barely tell what's going on in it, and I dunno what game it is.

Funny how everyone forgets that Halo was about the most ugly looking game of this century... What was I saying, I forgot.

The combat was enjoyable, so the corridorthon was forgiveable. Much like all the doom games.

    Agreed. It looks simply horrendous.

It ok, my problems with Halo are in the art and level design, not in the technical features. Its outdoor areas actually look really good for the time. But that doesn't make HL1 from 1998, back before 3dfx glide stopped being a thing, back before video ram was a thing we really had, back when colored lighting was still a thing, somehow look terrible in comparison... because they're a couple generations apart. Three years before Half-life 1 was Mechwarrior 2:

As far as other 2001 games go, I think Return to Castle Wolfenstein beats the pants off of Halo in every way.

    Edit: Three years after Halo:

I intended for it to be a funny, but also it was accurate too. The new century did begin by all accounts in 01 bud.
