The antivirus security stuff at work has been pumped up to the max, which means that we now cant log into Steam online, so we cant get HL2DM 
Anyway, I was wondering if anybody here knew of a way to gain access to this, mebbe copy over some HL2DM cache files or wutevr
We're trying to get the guys in charge of the antivirus shit to turn it off for a sec so we can get hl2dm but they wont budge atm D:

I'm going to assume the anti-virus has an enabled firewall.
Ask the firewall tech guys to either allow steam.exe and any other steam related processes (hl2.exe and hl.exe maybe) or if it's a port related thing,

I have the same problem at work.. Somebody got it working with HTTP tunneling though I don't wanna know what security will do when they find out.
Phew. We just get yelled at when a few people leave it running and updating and we lose our bandwidth for 'important' things like sending builds 
Fortunately our bandwidth upgrade should leave plenty of room for HL2 and WoW.
