So the two fired execs signed with a talent agency... http://www.industrygamers.com/news/mode ... ts-agency/

    Discuss.

I think it is only a matter of time before current IW staff gets poached given how it is basically impossible to enforce non-compete clauses in California based on residents' right to work. It is a question of when, not if. I just hope we get new good games out of whatever they do next.

Just for irony's sake, I'd love to see them get signed by EA. As, I may be wrong here, wasn't the reason IW got started was to get away from the MOH train that EA was doing, much like activision is now doing with COD?

I certainly hope (and would be very very surprised if they don't) they form a brand new studio, that will remain independent through and through and sign with the likes to EAP for distribution.

Even if they can't get most of IW to relocate to this new gig (which I like to think they could) the moment the word gets out they'll have thousands of applicants to pick through. They have the money, they have the talent pool and they sure as hell can get a new engine. Tri facta, completed.

I think Furyo's absolutely right about EAP - it's really the way to go if you've got your own funding. And a very different beast than EA, though new-look EA remains a marked improvement over old EA even if the old stigma still stands.

i agree, EA since around 2006-2007 has improved substantially.

    the cluster fuck continues:http://kotaku.com/5491675/rumor-why-cal ... ing-around

apperently the other emplyoees are sticking around despite meager pay becasue activision hasnt paid out the promised royalties to them either ! and they probably wont for a while in order to keep the emplyoees from mass deflecting ...

i hate these kind of buisness methods *anger*

Forcing employees to stay with those kind of methods is the same as forcing employees to sneak in midget porn everywhere in your products. As in, that is what I hope the employees do if this is the case.

$15 for five maps doesn't seem all that crazy ridiculous to me, unless they're bad maps or something. It's not like there's some alternate source of maps for Modern Warfare 2 after all

If there was an alternate source for maps they could not charge the $15 and get away with it.

As predicted there is no mapeditor so they can charge dlc.

Seems Ruse is going the same way, Ubi claiming that creating such large maps is not something outside the average user's skill.

So I bet there is going to be paid dlc.

Its all about money these days

Actually, that's $15 for 3 new maps, and 2 old ones. Come on :ssj:

Didn't they started with EA back in the MOH days? Then they got deal with activision, did COD and now they're back with EA.

Indeed! But their contract is the same contract VALVe, Epic and Crytek made with EA!

EA confirmed today that it’s signed ex-Infinity Ward heads Vince Zampella and Jason West and their newly-formed Respawn studio. DeMartini said EA now means serious business in the shooter space.
