Cool. Not working well for me on full screen with two monitors. Mouse moves out of screen one and it minimizes all the time.

Otherwise this is a cool thing. Havent gotten further than those training rooms though, is there any actual level?

Nop. This is just an "advergame" for the full game.

The guys behind this (danish company) were for some years trying to make a full blown game, back then on the Unreal engine. They got hit hard by the financial crisis though and had to cut employees and rethink their development strategy. This resulted in the idea of "AAA Indie" where they try to get the game funded by the community by continuously delivering updates. So there is no finished game as of yet.

Despite the sadness of them having worked for 5+ years and still only having a very simple browser game I still think they should be given some props for doing whatever they can to get to develop the game.

What? I thought this was an advertising for a "full game"

All you do is stand still and click at targets?

Kind of, but I don't really see the bad side of that. It's not like you expect the next half-life when its a browser game.

I was kind of expecting a 2d flash tower defense game

But thats the thing, what if youd do a HL sized game in the browser? It is possible. You can rent out the game then in a similar way as onlive works but without the video stream aspect.

    Yup, I know.

It's going to happen now in the very near future

Interstellar Marines is now on Kickstarter!

I really like their vision, and hope they can make it a reality.

Time has passed, but they clearly haven't given up, so neither should you and I.

really cool, nice to see something "AAA" done in unity, even if it is only a target practice thing. definitely interested in helping them more with their kickstarter now

This game has been in development for aaaaages.

And tbh, it feels like all promotional footage and trailers are made to conceal the fact that this is actually pretty generic and mediocre. It's like an uninspired NS2.

I wouldn't say that sharks with limbs is "pretty generic". But what do I know...

I wish them the best, but 600k is pretty steep...

That's about the only thing that sticks out (and it's what the gaming media always pick up on). The soldiers, weapons, gameplay, environments... none of that is communicating it's own style imho.

Aye, best of luck to them, but I find it highly unlikely they they'll even get close to 600k

Valid point. They try to tell a story about humans colonizing outside out solar system, but the guns still look like there was no progress in weapons development. (I think they should have at least GR:Future soldier like equipment.)

I still find many of the planned gameplay aspects quite impressive:

Been following this occasionaly over the years. I wish them the best of luck but it's gonna be hard. FPS + Kickstarter doesn't mix well unfortunately. Perhaps also a bit of bad luck with timing now that Dust 514 is just around the corner and is most likely there to stay for many years and covering much of the niche IM is aiming for imo.
