Playing around with the Source SDK. Nothing real fancy, still trying to learn things. Originally going to be a run-down church / cathedral type affair, but I don't even know anymore. Water is the new crate, baby!!

Terrorists have already tried to blow the place up, but they still need to finish the job with one last bomb. Lack of cube-map generation is really hurting the interior, with weird reflections and way too much shininess. Still testing out the light-glows, I think it's a bit too much though.

Need to add more shiz and doodahs inside. Still thinking about how to make cathedral-y windows as well, seeing as the current windows aren't working out too well. Oh, and I fixed the roofs already, they look a lot better now, similar to de_cbble now.

    Feedback me into the ground!

    You and your broked stuff.

Looks nice I think you could do a lot more with the lighting outside, though. Obviously you need to keep it bright enough to let players see each other, but maybe experiment with more types of light sources combined with a darker sky light.

It looks nice, although the roof texture you've got on that thing isn't very hot.

That looks very nice. Either it's because it's overwhelming or because it's rich in detail, but I like it.

You seem to be stretching a lot of textures though, such as the ground texture on the third picture. It might look a bit odd when you run across it as a player. Also, perhaps as said above, play with the brightness of the outdoor lights.

    Keep it up!

Best ccs map i'v seen yet, thats sure!

The curch/cathedral didnt feel right in a way. You got some textures that looks too modern. Like it was buildt ~20 years ago, but buildings like this should feel alot older...

Indeed, good stuff, but the sharp-angled roof coupled with that horrific tile texture really makes me cry.

look very nice but i hope u do realise that its a matter of months till we see 1000+ maps with those same props and textures.

Well, the HL2 props and textures will be properly unlocked next week, so it won't be too bad.

The window texture doesn't match the scale of the window. That window is gigantic! The tons of detail looks great though. GJ sir.

Thanks for all the comments. I'll work on better texture-choice and lighting. Yeah, the lack of cathedral-like textures and such aren't really helping when I want to make a cathedral-like map! Stupid me, I guess.

It's intended to be a really small map de_ map, more suited towards 5v5 or something. I find when I set my goals obscenely low, I can reach them better.
