I loved dolphin diving in BF2. So many idiots did it compulsively that it was a cinch to mercilessly exploit their brain-dead habits

Step 1: Edge around corner and see enemy running towards me down an alley

Step 2: Back around the corner from whence I came

Step 3: Watch as the guy insta-prones without thinking

Step 4: Edge back around the corner with xhairs on the guy and insta-kill him, as he cannot get back up in time and he cannot fire at me without being a sitting duck

I used to get loads of cheap kills that way.

I just cracked and pre-ordered from play; heard a lot of good things from people playing the beta.

The beta is awful compared to the demo. Just wait and play the full version and try out the demo on the console. Its far better.

As a rule I don't play a beta of a game of game I really want, infact I usually wait an till the first patch it out before I buy it ;P

Arg, yeah I suppose, but I can't find a specific change log so I'm not going to go through and guess exact changes. I will elaborate from playing both versions (PC Beta I played around 15 matches. 360 Demo, around 35 - 40) which you can easily tell have significant differences. Most being the large number of environmental bug fixes and frame rate issue fixes. Weapon damage overall feels more like mw2 for example, takes less bullets to kill someone, heh. These few things I just mentioned have made the game 100% better for me. Other noticeable things; scopes do not have the ugly/annoying filter on them when zooming. Weapon placements, vehicles have been tweaked for the better. Last but not least, In-game cinematics have been updated.

Sounds great. I've always found it frustrating how many bullets it takes to kill someone even at close range!

Haven't really commented in this thread for a while, but I did play the demo a bit, and I wasn't terribly impressed to be honest. But I also just played on my own, and unlike something like COD then you absolutely have to play with people you know in the BF games in my opinion, so that might be it. Also I just didn't really like the aesthetics of the map nor the layout, felt slightly weak as a demo level overall D: . Also why the hell do they pick that Gold Rush mode thing? Everybody knows that BF is all about the Conquest!

Still looking very much forward to it though, and buzz on the street is that the single player campaign isn't so bad this time around.

The combat has been A LOT better in the last update then it was before. Shame that the BETA ends so early.
