It's a shame they didn't release that in the beta instead. I'd of preferred that a lot more to this Rush thing.

So far I can only play sniper without getting sick.

Good ol' Conquest will be in the full game. And currently Assault + C4 is overpowered when capping objectives in Rush.

I also tried killing people with an assault rifle from afar and it worked better then sniping. Had no bullet drop tbh.

I found that the betas weapons (fire-rate, ammo rate, sniper scope, recoil, etc) feel like shit compared to the demo. I also found Its twice as hard to kill anyone in the beta.

So is the PC version getting the least attention then as all the consoles are in demo form and this really isn't even a beta with how rough it is?

My friend just got it and crashed 4 times in a row.

The PC beta is most probably outdated.

Well I think its pretty much a beta and these kinda of issues are expected. I haven't had nearly as many issues as others have had, but It just sucks to hear peoples impressions from the game when there is a better and more polished demo out there. The PC gets the shaft as it is more of a console oriented game in my opinion. It will still ultimately be great for pc, but if it were not designed for the consoles first, it would have been a greater game over all. Here's to waiting for BF3. Still though, I enjoy BC2 much much more then MW2

In the BF2 demo you had much more freedom to tackle capturing a point from whichever direction. You could sneak around a lot more. Everything feels to forced and confined, especially if you're in a vehicle. Despite the destruction it lacks playfulness and doesn't really feel like a battlefield.

You and me seem to have completely opposite ideas of a "battlefield" then. Exactly because the gamemode focuses on a specific area (2 targets at a time), it makes the experience so intense to me. The map is huge, yet the action takes place in confined areas at a time. At any time, there is mayhem everywhere! That's an accomplishment in my book. I must admit, the many structures are often a bit iffy to navigate around in a vehicle and if you are used to vast landscapes and roaming around (desert combat *cough*) without being shot all the time, then this map/gamemode is probably not for you. Both of us can be happy though, because there surely are plenty of other different modes and maps in the full release

bc2 also only support 32 players so it would be weird if the maps were as big as in bf2.

also, from the render architect at DICE:

@heromilkshake Yes, the #BFBC2 PC beta doesn't have all of our optimizations. Some we will try to patch in

@GreatAllah Haha yeah I saw that. We are going to add proper support for customizable/wider FOV, but have some bigger issues to fix first.

To be honest I didn't really like the servers with more than 32 players in BF2 or BF2142, it got a bit mental. However most of the maps were really well suited to that number, excluding the absolutely gigantic ones that nobody really liked anyway. Maps like Suez Canal and Gulf of Oman were spacious but pretty much perfect for 32 players. The one in the BC2 beta is clearly too small for 32 players IMO, but then it probably suits the CoD-like gameplay the Rush game mode is targeting.

From what I can see there's more to the map in the BC2 beta, but as in the previous games it's limited as per the game mode.

I could imagine that this limited edition sells very well, hell even I fell for it just to play the game early For a change I think EA got the release date right this time, I bet lots of MW2 players other than me move on right to this.

Also there will be no prone, as confirmed on the BFBC2 Twitter. And I don't miss it, as there's more than enough cover to crouch behind.

Yeah, to be honest Battlefield 2142 broke my prone habit because it wasn't actually very useful in that game and was clearly nerfed to stop the excessive jump/prone bullshit that plagued BF2. Usually if someone tried to do a prone-and-shoot on me in BF2142 I'd just crouch and obliterate them.

It was nice for when you were digging in to defend an objective or sniping, though.

DICE have posted a thread listing all the bugs they're aware of and working on. Link.

They could nerf the effectiveness of dolphin diving by delaying when you can shoot by a second after going prone. I miss it more then I expected. No prone means no more of those tense moments where you just escape something by hiding behind small cover. It would be even more useful here, imagine going prone when a tank blows out the wall and narrowly miss being seen the tank. I would trade in snipers any day for prone. But just the general lack of it makes me feel so confined and rather helpless.

Game that isn't Battlefield 2 doesn't play like Battlefield 2.
