NS 3.1 just brought you right back, eh?

I like the style, although that geometry in the third shot looks obtuse, mainly because of the scattered lightmaps on it.

I like your colors spacer, but im pretty biased i think, i noticed recently that like 90% of my clothes are blue, black and white in combinations.

someone needs to develop another good wad for ns. Im so tired of everyone with the same textures.

This might not agree with you but theres some good doom style textures i rendered for hl1 you might like, they match your color theme.

Ya, seeing how your map is based off a concept and mine being completely from my own imagination, I dont think they will be all that much alike in the end. A farm map is going to have alot of similairities, but I am not concerned about them looking anything alike trust me.

I followed both MOD's prety closely. I must say, not only do the maps not resemble eachother, the atmosphere is totally different too. Both not being less then eachother in originality or estathics.

    That's the beauty of it!

I never thought I'd actually find a map on a hard drive that I forgot about. This ones from a few months ago. Was just kind of a surprise to spot it again.

Not sure if I'll take it back up. It looks stranger than I remember...

    It was/is for HL2:DM

Yes, architecture and especially that bridg looks really weird. I like the setting though. Most rooftop maps I have seen are set in industrial or ghetto'ish, very urban areas. Not in an appartment complex, with balconies and stuff.

It'd make for a good skybox for a map in that setting.

Looks sorta Jet Set Radio Future to me, which is a good thing Textures look quite simplistic and cartoony, and together with the over the top sunlight colour and rather crazy vertical building, it really is quite reminiscent of certain JSRF levels. It is a bit blocky though, Jet Set Radio had a more haphazard approach to their building and deviated, pretty much all the time, from lining up correctly or right angles.

I don't really feel that the factory style brick building fits with the pretty unrealistic apartment block type one, mainly due to the unrealistic textures clashing with the realistic ones.

wooo 1000th post on this thread is mine!

I like it Erratic. But the lighting is annoying and it's a bit too blocky as fetter said. Appart from that it looks pretty fresh

Inspired by Half Life 2 after playing through it again in Smod, so I tried to ignore the no shading problem in Hammer and basically start my first serious Half Life 2 project. Nothing much to show here, just need some opinions about the structure/texturing since it's a lot different than Half Life 1, ofcourse.
