    Was very impressed back when i seen it, great brushwork and design. My only issue was the streched rock, but like u siad u are working on it.

    I also think you need to humanise the background rocks, it seriously looks like Mars or some other alien planet rather than Earth - very harsh and sharp.

    Rest looks great.

    Hi, I am new to these forums, just thought I would post some of my current wip shots for my mod D.E.A.D

    Open to any crits/comments, still tweaking the fog and distance for the func_lod brushes etc. If anything looks out of place or a texture needs changing please let me know. Thanks

    DEAD|DJBourgeoisie - The silo type deal on the second screenshot (far right) has an obvious pattern when tiled around. I love the mod DEAD, I think if you're going to go for an honest farm-life you'd want to do a metal structure that uses misc. pieces of metal to form the silo.

    Anyway i'd love to see some more hard edged rocks really. Kinda tired of the smooth ones which looks more like hills mostly.

    DEAD|DJBourgeoisie: Finally a map where the fog blends well with the sky. Or, sky, anyway, that looks athmospheric.

    The texture on the sil is indeed too obviously tiling, curman said it all there. I also think the terrain could be a bit more bumpy where it meets the house: the edge looks too clean, too perfect to be real. The rest looks very nice.

    Yeah, the rocks in the BG are ugly. They gave me about 4 days to get this area prepped for PCGamer UK, and the mesas were something we didn't have time to implement before the deadline. I'll get the new models compiled and get some new shots to showcase that.

    First off, I like to say I like the mod DEAD vey much and I am closely watching your MOD's progress. Good job!

    Secondly, the feedback on the map:

    - you might want to increase the size of the windows of the farmhouse;

    - the stairs to the porge are like 8 units above the ground;

    - the roof of the shed needs some variation IMO, like damage or windows.

    But I very much like this map and I think it's one of a kind!

    Thanks for all the comments, I am going to tweak almost everything mentioned as I agree some textures/displacements need improving. The stairs however are made in scale with the dev-stairs texture, not sure why you think they look wrong. Same basically with the windows, made to scale with the textures. That said, I'll show the final result when its done, cheers.
