^ Looks like you've been really busy! Keep it up =). Just be careful taking on so many at once.

Les évènements de cette carte se déroulent dans un petit village Breton au nord de la France et puisque...Ooops, excuse my French :D

So yeah, as I was saying :-D, the map is based on old villages in the region of Bretagne (mainly Locronan and Saint-Suliac among others)

    Locronan

    [Blocked Image: https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/d/d8/Bretagne_Finistere_Locronan1_tango7174.jpg]

    Saint-Suliac

    [Blocked Image: http://www.ibcousinie.info/10%20Bretagne%202012/06la%20Rance/IMG_1265.JPG]

The action in DOD:S takes place in Normandie among other places, and Normandie is right next to Bretagne...:) hence the somehow similar architectural style (I'm not taking reference from DOD though)

Fun, st Suliac is at a few km from my birth place :)

Beginning to shift focus to art and brush detail work, and soon custom art/figuring out the aesthetic. Been spending a lot of time on planning this layout. Trying ask some people to play test for 5v5 soon. I am apprehensive to hear what people think. This map has been really fun to just run around, now hopefully it is just as fun to play.

Vous êtes Breton? Nice to know :). Paysage charmant et architecture médievale éblouissante; un coup de coeur instantanné pour cette région :)

anyways, the latest addition is the heat hotel landmark, similar to the bell tower in inferno it can be seen from most key areas in the map, and will hopefully help with navigation

Love the sense of scale in the hotel shot; well done P. :)

Hi, here is my WIP level made in CryENGINE 2 Sandbox, (Crysis 1). I'm really close to finishing it, but it's still a WIP so any suggestion will be more than welcome.

@will2k people from Britanny may feel a bit angry if you compare them to those from Normandy :)

Anyway it looks good, but don't mimic the width of narrow streets, these are claustrophobic :)

    Parole de breton!

    Salut Hugo :)

I said in my previous post that the houses architecture between the 2 regions is "somehow" similar.

I never compared people (or traditions) ;) (you probably meant it as a joke)

J'ai des amis de Rouen et de Rennes :v

    I was kidding indeed

je suis né à Rennes c'est pour ça !

si tu vas les visiter, au passage Leplubo et moi sommes à Paris :)

As for the architecture, I agree that they are sometimes similar, even if Normandy's architecture lost some things during the war, which is kinda unfortunate...

ah ah indeed, but we never speak French because not everyone understands ;)

(pas beaucoup de gens à Paris par contre si j'ai bien compris)

How's your map coming along by the way? I know you're taking your time with it, but I'm curious :)

Well...about Highland we'll see what we'll do, we lost motivation and about Arizona we started it again since this week. It's a bit hard for us to mix our work with the maps and our live tbh.

Finish what you've started! I'd be very sad otherwise :( Both are very promising projects.

They are default. Cobblestone textures mostly. Roof has custom one maybe.

The map will be comprised of around 50% custom textures and 50% stock. I have already finished creating around 70% of the custom textures.

As for this particular screenshot, the only custom textures are the roof, door and windows. Others are mostly stone/rock from cbble and monastery.

    Good guess :)
