There is some elevation to the terrain but yeah I didn't go nuts with the undulation, I think terrain manipulation and decent texturing are next on my list of things to learn

    Seriously looking good, Paul.

I always seem to saturate the sh*t out of my scenes with the TOD editor, always looks terrible :\

I love autumn colors, if you had some leafy particles floating around a bit gently itd be a nice touch... but thats one of those 'in live action' type of things

Not a screenshot but a trailer

Worked on this 6 months ago when I was still in school. Wanted to make a full custom game with 6 people that had no or little experience with UDK.

I have worked on the first map VolcanoIsland.

Game features 3 classes, bomb planting/defusing and more!

i like the look. gameplaywise it seems like a clone of team fortress, but that's okay with me. good job!

this is truely awesome work! are you planning to release this publicly (or even with the scripts open to see how you did the classes?)? it's the first time in a long time that i'm really impressed with a student game

Reminds me of a multiplayer map and gamemode of Return to castle wolfenstein. I really loved that Some Normandy map.

    Looking cool!

That is seriously awesome work right there! The visuals and polish are incredible for a student project. I think my favourite bit is near the start when it demonstrates sniping - the ultra-speedy recoil is just perfectly judged and makes it *feel* all shrunken and cartoony I know that sounds like such a minor thing but its touches like that that can set it apart. Amazing job.

That's freakin' sweet! It's like the cute aesthetics with brutal action of Naughty Bear combined with TF2. Good stuff!

e-freak we will probably release it some time soon, we just did the first big 20+ player tests and want to do some more. After that we will probably post it on modDB and try n enter some competitions. Not sure if we will release all the code though.

ReNo Yeah sounds were done in a few days with just some free tracks found on the internet

There will be some more big multiplayer tests so if people are interested I can get you in Send me a PM, don't want to spam this thread ^^

    Installer is like 190 mb.

Oh sorry, I wasn't referring to the sounds, I just meant that what I WAS referring to (the very "mini" feeling sniper recoil, if that makes sense) might not seem like a big deal but is a nice touch and that it's attention to detail like that sets games apart.

That said, the sounds are mostly pretty effective sounding. I feel the need to draw attention in particular to the train on the 2nd level - the "choo choo!" sound and kind of model railway sounding engine are, again, such a perfect match for the theme. Lovely

    [Blocked Image: http://i125.photobucket.com/albums/p45/ate…DG/ddg_long.png]

have some preliminary stuff on my l4d2 versus campaign, drop dead gorges, up on moddb. haven't had the time yet to compile anything for mass-forum-posting, but i figured i'd start to link to it here...

the media is a bit limited at this point, and i've shown the most of the paintings i've included here on mapcore, but i have put some effort into trying to communicate my intent with the campaign in my latest news post.

more to come...soon, as things are nearly ready for a release.

also had my forum name changed to the one that i go by on the rest of the intricate-net. hi.
