    I'm trying to go for a victorian industrial style theme think i need to incorporate the elements a little better in the texture work, the skybeams I more or less slopped down so there completely off I'm gomma try upping the saturation on the skybox and hopefully make the sun less of an orange smear - thanks for the crits

    JoshuaC , Looking pretty nice, the main thing that jumps out for me are the textures are too similiar in colour, maybe try adding a darker wood texture to the trim? Good luck with the comp!

    nice, my only off the cuff complaint is the texture transistion on the floor in the second shot makes it look like there's some kind of lighting anomaly, I guess one texture is significantly brighter than the other.

    siege brings back some good memories! The cave seems abit dark tho. Very frustrating for cs players

    I agree, if your making a competitive map, you can't have way too dark areas. Look at map prodigy for example!

    Here's a TF2 CTF map I've been working on. I finished the layout a while ago and now I'm going through and making everything as custom content. I still need to add more detail and finalize the textures for this room, then I'll move on to the rest.

    looks very low poly, what engine is it for?

    also those teleports look lovely.

    Sentura, it is for the Q3 engine, the player will spend most of their time above that teleporter pit. The map style is a Frankenstein castle/lab with large solid objects made mostly from stone, wood and metal and the odd bit of glass. The screenshots below show the room above the teleporter pit (my first screenshots) and an electric generator room you find later on:
