I like your reference Bic-B@ll. Do you have a specific game in mind or just making it for the sake of it?

    Dux: nice curvy architecture.

Yeah, I was too busy back in 2004! lol, jk!

Well, I never really made any map for HL2 so I don't know the stock textures like many of you do!

I have a love hate relationship with hammers shortcuts, I think they're pretty friendly on the usability side but everytime I go into photoshop it messes with my head as I start shift+'ing all the PS shortcuts. What game is your level for, standard HL2?

i have no problem with them, its just been two years since i used them., i was impressed with myself for knowing so many of them off the bat.

i have a few hundred pictures for reference but there are still several areas that i'm going to have to just invent since there are no pictures.

    thanks punky

Me and Aigik have been working on Theed Palace for Star Wars: The New Era, and finally released two major-wip shots to the public. Aigik is the one behind all the level design and most of the modelling, while I've been working on a majority of the textures. There are still various models and textures that I've yet to retexture with my own versions (staircase railings/left side 2nd shot) but this is what we have so far. Please excuse the specular.http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v220/ ... reeny1.jpg

This is one of the first shots that i see about a source map that breaks the square design (i realize that it´s source by the dev texture on the stairs). Good to see it, cos i´ve working on a quite complex circular building and i was very afraid about the issues that were could come up with it, since the bsp engines are optimized for 1024x1024x1024 blocks I will show someday on what im working on, but i want to keep it as secret for the moment (just dont want to spoil it).

PS: yes, never posted here before maybe because i had nothing to say, i´ve watching this thread for the last weeks BTW.

    This forum sucks*

*Not really, but i hate to be flattering just because it´s my first post.

i selectively adjusted the contrast and gave em all a 50% sharpen and lots of down sampling

i can tell you one thing getting the pod bots to pose for these screenshots was a bitch those guys are twitchy knife loving morons
