Perhaps Blu could be set within the walls of a volcanic crater or quarry, so it's sort of the inverse of Red?

Looks really nicely done anyway love it

I might work them out a bit more, depending on how well you will see them in the shots.

Me and Aigik have been working on Theed Palace for Star Wars: The New Era, and finally released two major-wip shots to the public. Aigik is the one behind all the level design and most of the modelling, while I've been working on a majority of the textures. There are still various models and textures that I've yet to retexture with my own versions (staircase railings/left side 2nd shot) but this is what we have so far. Please excuse the specular.

Ferret: Signs in real life aren't that thick. Looks awesome tho.

*edit* I meant the one hanging in the air.

Quakis: Finally mapping for source huh? Looks outstanding. Did you make models for the colums or are they brush based with smoothing groups?

The columns are models. Please excuse the horrid textures of the columns in the hallway shot, I had to re-do the model last minute so I threw on a very primitive texture. I have to say, Quakis is a fantastic texture artist. We've had a couple other texture artists on the team who tried to help me, but Quakis's textures blow their's away. Absolutely amazing.

Great start Quakis/Aigik. I like the variation and vibrance of colour in the textures. I hope you retain that look as you refine them.

Tofu: That shot doesn't give much away but it looks well composed.

not a whole lot to see but i started working on this again after two years and three months without touching hammer. its weird but ive lost the way of thinking necessary to do some things, but its coming back. i used to be able to look at a complex shape and know exactly what way to go about making it, i have to fiddle around now, but its coming back. the shortcuts are coming back too, they were like second nature so its like a muscle reflex to get to them spend about three hours making some stairs towards the center that you cant really see, but this is where the map is at for now

I have a love hate relationship with hammers shortcuts, I think they're pretty friendly on the usability side but everytime I go into photoshop it messes with my head as I start shift+'ing all the PS shortcuts. What game is your level for, standard HL2?

Yeah it's primarily a marketing shot. The first public Beta comes out this week so that'll give everything away - just trying to lure players in and it seems to be working, had a 7 hour playtest last night which was a bit mental, especially towards the drunken blurry end.
