That's just bloom, dof and color correction. Don't know why this should be on par with Crysis tbh.
-
Still doing some work on my css map, progress is slow though:

Reduce the Bloom, DoF, and color correction.

It's all one blurry mess at the moment.
-
@ marcos: the only disturbing thing in this screenshot are the vertical dirt stripes on the window, the rest looks cool

-
Did someone delete my post
?Like I said before I lowerd the Bloom, removed most of the DoF and tweaked the color correction.

its my new unreal map based on the blizzard contest winner concept art picture by marc simoneti
http://www.blizzard.com/us/inblizz/cont ... diablo.jpg
the cathedral exterior geometry and all the reference photos that went into the textures were shot by hessi

there will be the first beta up later tonight
... and yes i know i am over doing the bloom/contrast in the first shot

-
That looks awesome, kept faithful to the feel of the concept art nicely.
-
I saw the shots first and just thought: "this must be warby's work". And I was right.
I like how you keep your awesome and recognisable style and always do something new aswell

Nice work. What about something for CryEngine next time?

-
Omega - That is looking much better. But would be nice to see something other than a corridor.
Warby - Fantastic, Love it. My only gripe is the last screenshot, bit too red for me. I love the theme you are going for though, very cool.
-
Good to see you're still at it Marcos.
omega322: Looking good but there's a lot of room for detailing. For starters I'd definately add some light fixtures. I'm not sure about the shape of the wall, purhaps make it straight and add some interesting support structures. Some more interesting bushwork for the cieling and floor could also greatly add to the atmosphere. I like the DoF effect, nicely used.
Warby, no less than fucking incredible

I want to be able to see the front of that huge spire thingy in the first screenshot but it's far too dark to make anything out.
-
and i agree to dux

PAINTOVERS !!!! @ all the lighting nay sayers

Warby: Nice work. As a diablo-fan I really like that environment
But comparing it with the concept I think you have missed out on the green-yellowish light present in the painting. Adding some color variation while still keeping the red-orange dominant would really lift the environment. -
Warby, although I find that red way over saturated, and a little bit unappealing, the rest looks awesome! Congrats bro
-
Got the stuff inside the store and tweaked some of the exterior colors. The signs and strips on the building pulse, hence the different colors in each shot. Lighting could still use some tweaking, but I'll save that for another time.
Note: This is in the Unreal Tournament 2004 engine and the interior is pure deco (player can not get inside, but they can run around and on top of the building).
