Shaping up nicely. It has that obvious "copy and paste" look all over the map though. Work on variations.
i dont mind repetivity as long as it has a purpose. here it looks fine. what bothers me is the textures tiling
The stairs are far too narrow, it'd look better if the stairs were twice as wide; so that the railings are between the blocks.

you can trigger the explosion. let everything fall down which would take like 5 seconds. then freeze all physics by disabling motion.
I would advise to use a phys_hinge then too, you could get some more control as to where the radaris going to end up, and makes it more predictable. If by any chance the radar gets frozen up in mid-air, the remaining 5-10 mins of playable time is wasted

Or just animate it in Maya and remove the whole physics element from it. If you only want it to fall one way it's not much use as a physics object if it's going to cause problems.
