Oh yea, oh yea... well I have around 15k inspiration images + 5k black and white Chicago 1930's historical photos, hehe

Btw I found that using program such as NeoDownloader helps you collect images much faster. You just specify the website, what image format you want to save, set some filters and it downloads every image. Look into it if you need more reference.

Looks pretty nice, did you make the textures btw? They're pretty.

The plant pots look kind of tiny in comparison to the 'grand' feel of everything else. Also are you still working on the lighting? Those spots under the paintings with no apparent source are temporary I'm guessing?

Hmm that NeoDownloader sounds interesting, *Googles.

I love it. Very unrealistic, but thats what gives it a unique charm, so don't change a thing.

Thanks dude. I was going for an unrealistic theme. Much like my favourite map, de_cbble.

so basically you are selling your map with some 'paintings' and a gimmick?

Please refrain from attacking people in the future and say something constructive - Ferret

didn't realise I was attacking anybody, I tried giving constructive crits about his ceiling but he's taken a believable ceiling and added an internet minds-eye trick on it, I don't see the relevance? - Rick_D, the poster who's post you seemed to have posted in - miss the 'quote' button? ;D

Dust2: So basically you are selling your map with some "palm trees"?

Office: So basically you are selling your map with a "opening garage door"?

The same could be applied to many maps.

The ceiling looks good, like it looks like it could exist (far better than the earlier versions of it) but it's been "ruined" by something that just doesn't belong there - maybe in an easter egg room but not on the ceiling of T spawn - the rest of the scene looks so serious, and then you have this big minds-eye trick on the roof, it just doesn't make sense and it looks like a total gimmick.

The paintings, I was a little harsh but it seemed to me like you were either trying to compensate for, or make some sense out of, the ceiling decal by having some 'modern art' in there. It doesn't really fit with the rest of the scene (the old ceilings, the wooden theme etc).

Classical paintings and a mural on the ceiling would have worked much better, and sold the place as being much more believable.

Also, I am not "mr negative" thank you very much.

Ferret - I think you may have missed the million other posts I made where I actually have offered criticism that is useful, I don't see what it is you have against me but this is getting a little petty now

Rick: I've noticed that a lot of your posts are rather negative too (whether you mean it or not, that's the way it comes off), so I don't think you're being picked on. Your last post was far more constructive than the previous one; if you posted like that all the time then everyone would be grateful for the criticism
