psycho it;s looking nicer but please get rid of the angled walls using the ceiling texture (the walls that lead to the 'balcony' area) - they look very out of place ;(

I thought WIP was Work In Progress and untill the map is at the beta or pre-beta stage it is considered WIP. Hence I post in this thread. Also people who don't play Q4 might not look into the other thread and having variety of feedback is much better. Since several people said that I should stop posting in this thread, I will.

Anyone else noticed how downhill Imageshack has gone these past few months. :S

I can't even login or let alone get a password recovery. The site is slow and doesn't load anything properly. Well, that is what I've experienced.

    I just tried this and it's good/fast.

Now need something equally as good but with a firefox add-on, like the ImageBot add-on I used to use for Imageshack... was so fast

    Method:

No shit, that picture you posted for reference is the Carrie Furnace. I have been there many times and have taken all kinds of pictures Awesome industrial reference.

Method: Awesome! I love it... makes me consider reinstalling Doom3

Psycho: Looks cool but the architecture (ceiling!) seems weird. You should take a look at Resident Evil 1 (remake) and Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles screenshots from the mansion (only found this one, quick search ).

A small update on my map:

Bit heavy on the grey for my liking - needs some contrast through lighting or texture variety I'd say. Looks neat architecturally though

Think that's because he hasn't textured it yet

The lighting is not too easy on the eyes, a bit too much contrast to be able to get a good focus on things.

It seems to have potential or at least it looks ok already. Interesting choice though that you have done a good bunch of lighting work already before finishing textures.

Looking nice aevirex. Will be nice to see some more on that.

It will be nice to see some more finished stuff in that map bartollo as well.

It does look like it can really become something very good looking if some time is spent on it.

That is very true - I can't see details very well across the hall so not sure about a crouched player slightly hidden by a small prop ;D

    Also - I see non-custom textures!!
