Hey there, you guys - been only browsing this forums lately and not posting much of a work, but i thought since there's quite some tf2maps going on there, i might share these models here as well. since i bought tf2 and got myself into the tf2-editing world a bit, i decided to give modeling another try and originally teamed up with a buddy of mine for another custom map. unfortunately he's very busy with studying and can't work much on the map, so i model some stuff from time to time, compile and release it

I would be really happy if someone of you guys could use one or more models of this stuff. i will definately be doing more models, cause i really have tons of fun while doing these

Didn't know whether to post here or in the "work release"-boards - sry if i'm in the wrong one

my latest model is this lifesaver (comes with 3 skin variations)

Before the lifesavers, i made some pillars (sized 128, 256, 288, 320 and 512 units). They come with 3 different skin versions (rusty, blue and red team colors). Very simple models, though

The first model i did was the round porthole. after getting accustomed to the workflow of compiling and finally uvmapping in max (thanks to renderhjs awesome uv-scripts: http://www.renderhjs.net/textools/). Then followed 2 more variations of that

    Quote from Marcos

TF2 mappers def need some new content to play with

    I dont get this

    desert theme

    alpine theme

    hydro industrial theme

newly added swamp theme (user made)

and the soon to be snowy theme in the classless update.

They dont need more themes to play with, they need more creativity

EDIT: sorry, I also meant to say I like your props dude

By the way, post them on tf2maps.net if you havent already. A slightly dirtier texture on the life savers would fit really well with the new swamp pack: http://swamp.tf2maps.net/

hey that's so great to hear you people like it

thx a ton for your kind feedback !

@ tofu: that would be great if you could use it in your map - looks awesome so far !

i posted it on tf2maps already - but they don't accept custom user made models for the pack - something about contracts with valve, they said

@CCCJJJJ ~~~~~~~~!!! I'm using the system of my girlfriend now moved into her room months ago

she has a "brandnew system" - that's why i bought tf2 in the first place. never ran a game myself that looked that good on a pc - i'm sitting in front of

but i also bought a new pc for my home !!!! 2 months ago. cause i had a virus on my old pc which didn't let me start the monster machine

it's not UBER but still dual core 2,8 ghz !!

and i'm now officially acknowledged certified kindergarten educator - making millions of money finally !!

how's life on the other side of the world ??
