    Indeed. If it doesn't do anything for you, then it's fine, no one's saying that you have to like it. Personally I think it's pretty clear why a lot of people hold them in high regard even to this day, since they were way beyond their time (especially the first one), have some absolutely amazing production designs and are still extremely well paced and execute movies 30 years later.

    Also, if you think Alien3 is better than Resurrection, then I'm pretty sure you haven't seen the Director's Cut (I know, it's a lame thing to say, but it really is a way better movie than the theatrical release in every way). But then again, saying that 3 is better than Resurrection is kinda like saying Alien is better than Aliens, Resurrection is definitely more silly, where as Alien3 is somewhat serious in tone akin to Alien's overall mood.

    I think if Ridley were to do the alien prequels then he better have a damn damn damn good DP. However im going to have to disagree with most of you about ridley not being good after gladiator... kingdom of heaven directors cut, blackhawk down, hannibal and body of lies are all really really good movies.

    I would rather see Ridley do something original for his return to science fiction to be honest... however if we are going to be given another alien movie I think he is a good choice because he shoots mainly in practical and not cg.

    i remember kingdom of heaven to be pretty boring, but i've never watch any alien movie, so apparently i don't know what i'm missing out on.

    Yeah you are right. those are some of the shittiest B horror movies ever.

    I personally dont like the fact that aliens have been on earth since ancient times so predators could get manhood.... Kinda fucks with the whole awesomeness of first contact made in alien. well... until these new movies come out :[
