It's the best game so far this year. And it needed a thread.

Singleplayer is awesome crazy open world on another planet and the multiplayer is equally bat shit insane fun. Surprised no one's really talked about it yet. One of the few games to do open world truly right.

I had fun with the demo, but never really cared to actually complete a mission. Just running around blowing shit up was fun enough.

Well its one of those games where I've raved so much about it at work that I guess I forgot to make a thread here.

But yeah, definitely one of the best games of the year so far. Although a bit rough around the edges then both the campaign and multiplayer were great fun. Still very impressed that they actually got the game running on the consoles at a fairly steady 30fps with all the crazy destruction and physics objects flying around.

From what I heard it also sold quite well, which is totally deserved. Hopefully they can do a sequel thats even more polished and rounded off (If THQ can stay in business that is )

i just bought it not realizing that it said on the box "KOMPLETT IN DEUTSCH" the german voice acting is laughably bad but i assume the english version is not better since the story appears to be shit ... and those things usually go hand in hand.

    so i gotta deduct:

-story characters voice-acting script dialogue cutscenes

    -bland environment art and lighting

but it gets full score for:

    +design

    +gameplay

    +tech

and in the end thats all that matters so yes GOOD STUFF go get it everyone !

Really looking forward to play this (waiting for the steam release) as I enjoyed both RF1 and RF2.

The story and all was fine but the reason to get this game is to blow shit up! I think the demo didn't give a good showing of the different types of buildings as some of them are very strong and take a good bit to destroy, but its all the better when it comes crashing down.

Heh, aight. I actually think it had one of the best demos in a long while, had plenty of tools to fuck shit up with, especially the Walker if you just plowed through every building in your way. Its one of very few demos the last year where I actually played it multiple times, and i would definitely not have bought the game without that demo
