Was posted on polycount, awesome thing!

    http://www.minecraft.net/

It is awesome, especially if you are a level designer. I built a huge staircase, and then I dug a pit, and then a tunnel etc

Nice oldschool feeling, relaxing to just walk around and build.

Hah, awesome little thing. It totally reminded me of the landscape deformation stuff thats in Love (http://www.quelsolaar.com/love/gameplay_video.html).

Doubt that I'll fiddle with it again tho, think about 10 minutes was enough

It was fun, but the fact everything is a block made me go a little "meh". If it was more... up to date? I'd find it a lot more fun. Like Love for example.

Yeah, but on the other hand this is nice and simple. I also played with blockland for example but you got so many damn shapes and all that it gets too much trouble to build something nice. For me that is not relaxing anymore. It is the same like working.

This on the other hand is so simple I dont have to think much or put much effort into finding the coolest shapes and all that.

I like Minecraft a lot and can't wait till it's out of alpha, cause right now it's just about the worst optimization ever. A game that literally looks worse than doom runs at 10 FPS on my machine and on others runs so fast that it badly overheats their gpus.

A lot of stuff has changed with minecraft, specifically the single player and the valve/steam rumors. Before I bought the alpha (which is $13 if you buy before the beta is released) I watched this series of youtube videos.

He just concluded the last episode but it's him playing the single player in 30 15 minute episodes live with just a few tutorials experience before playing. All in HD.

There has also been talk about texture packs, a minecraft/dwarf fortress crossover and there are a few TF2 themed minecraft maps out right now.

I really love the idea of this game. I can see it getting old after a while but the core gameplay has serious potential. There's something about having to make shelter whenever the sun goes down and lighting up torches that satisfies the caveman part of my brain.

It is really relaxing to just stroll around and build stuff. Explore things, try to find big caves and then see where they lead to. And then build a bunker on top of a mountain or so, and create some waterfalls around it and all. It is so simple that it is fun. Especially if you are a level designer

I agree with Hourences, it's so relaxing and plain simple that it has a depth hard to achieve when you litter the gameplay with a lot of options and systems *cough* spore *cough*

I love exploring and can't wait to have survival multiplayer.

For anyone interested, a good "realism" server has been but up by DJive from TF2Maps, to get the server info you need to register at playstuff and ask to be included in the server whitelist (this game is sooo open to griefing right now): http://playstuff.net/forumdisplay.php/113-Minecraft

I play this every now and then to kill time, and always on Hard difficulty. It's fun to find a massive cavern, explore it and as soon as you turn around ..... SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS, THOUSANDS OF THEM!

I died 3 times trying to get my items back
