There was a girl at work who refused to do anything today because he was dead, she was crying her eyes out in the toilets.. "I can't believe he's dead.. it's like a bad dream :(" ...Hahaha.

Always been up and down with MJ, some of his music is great but the events of recent years have left me questioning what he's supposed to be doing in life...

    RIP anyhow.

    come on, that's cheap...

    He was a flawed genius.

I thought i shouldn't have an opinion. I was just rip him. If nothing else he too was a human. Different yes, but most artist are, or rather every one is to some degree. Some artist more so though. His whiteness? I have no clue, i heard several reasons, but i never talked to Michael, neither did i know him back then. Pedo? Beats me. Again, i wasn't there. Did he do some of the greatest music ever? Will he be remembered as the king of pop? This i am sure of, yes on both accounts. Now you could ofc keep discuss wheter or not he wanted to be white or abused children, but what's the point unless you got hard evidence?

So? If he wanted to have surgery to change his appearance that's his choice.

My 2 cents: Overrated artist - well, celebrities are overrated anyway -, pathetic and miserable person, a guy with a horrible childhood, just another human soul. He will be missed just as any other. I don't know, the whole Neverland ranch thing, the whole pedophile thing, the whole thing with being obsessed to look like princess Diana, his mediocre pop music....

He was neither mediocre nor overrated. He's made hit upon hit and has brought a whole lot to the musical world in his time. You may dislike him for any other reason, but you can't argue that his music sucked.

He was more impressive as a dancer then as a musician imo.

Agreed. I mean I'm not denying his massive cultural effect. To me he was an amazing dancer, but I really did not care for his music. Loads of people are telling me "just listen to [song X]. It's his best and it's amazing!", I go and listen to [song X], and all I can think is "meh".
