i am really amazed by the outrage and hatred being spat out about Crysis 2. it's not a bad game, it lasts longer than most of the current singleplayer games out there, it looks stunning (and with patches it will only get more impressive), is it just a case of self-entitlement, or genuine hatred of video games?

Let's face it the vast majority of our target audience consists of pubescent muppets. At least the vocal ones. Nothing new here.

You are aware that one can edit one file and the changes applies online, right?

I'm a little confused as to what point your post has? The context of my comment had nothing to do with justification of anything, it just annoys me when people blame PC pirating and not consoles as well :\

The fact that you clearly didn't read the article which address your point. I suggest in future you read the entirety of an article before attempting to slate it.

    *Sigh*

Look, I don't want to get into an argument about piracy and considering my posts never indicate my stance on it either way, that should show you that I haven't the interest in such a discussion. You took my first post out of context as if I was saying "Hey, consolers do it too, give PC gamers a break!" and then you ignore my second post and say the article addresses my post.

I read the entire thing and it doesn't matter if he states why he's only talking about PC pirating and not consoles. It STILL annoys me, I really don't know why you're trying to argue with me on what annoys me

    Some general complaints:

    - The functionality for finding a server, actually connecting to it etc, is terrible

    - Trying to connect together with friends is double terrible

    - The killcam is completely 110% off and inaccurate

    - Filters aren't saved

    - There's no server queuing

    - Hitreg is weird at times

    My personal complaints:

    - Shotgun is way underpowered, especially combined with the hitreg

    - In fact, the best weapon is SCAR and that's just the way it is basically (I haven't got KVOLT yet though which seems pretty good, but the other weapons... meh)

    - Weapon switches AFTER reload is complete?!... COME ON

    - You can't sprint while reloading (most of the times? I recall I have been able to). I'm a supersoldier dammits.

    - Make character more manoeuvrable... this is Crysis not CoD with Maximum Armor and Cloak imho (faster general walkspeed, faster sprint, more sprint).

    - Alter weapon spread so it favors controlled bursts rather then just being rewarded for a constant stream of bullets, weapon handling feels too easy to master at the moment

    - Reduce headshot modifier. When the hitreg isn't perfect the fights get a bit random and jerky if you're lucky to get a random HS in.

    - A requirement that you need to uncloak to fire (a bit controversial). I find often times I can just blast away two headshots at an unsuspecting passer-by without him having a chance to fight back as... you know, I'm invisible

    - I would like slightly better hipfiring actually

That's what I think. My main beef is that the game plays a bit too much like CoD when it comes to the gunplay and firefights. This is a game filled with supersoldiers, not human meatbags. I want less of blasting away a target real quick (as they move slowly and weapons are so goddamn accurate) and more frantically firing bursts and trying to get hits on a rapidly moving target.

I want my enemy to be a force to be reckoned with, a worthy advisory and less like a lowly grunt who can be dispatched real easy.

What specifically is terrible about the server browser? My experience is just in the demo, but I had few problems finding servers.

I did get the sense that headshots were almost required to drop someone, and resulted in me having the drop on someone, feeling like I'd emptied half a clip into them, then they turn around, seeming unscathed, and one shot me with a pistol in the head. I mean, maybe that's intended, maybe I'm misreading my experiences, but those are the kind of moments that seemed unfair and frustrating. Again, just from the demo, so I'm not sure how much weight that carries. One thing that might make it seem less unfair is giving the health of the enemy that killed you like in Bad Company 2, so I can at least see for sure if I landed some hits or not. Maybe I just think I'm hitting them.

I hope you (Crytek) patch the game very soon to make all multiplayer variables/scripts serverside; not clientside.

I don't much care what makes you annoyed, what ever it is that's fine, but that article quite simply is not an example of what you complained about as it doesn't

    ignores console pirating

. It also matters that he is addressing very specifically piracy on the PC something that developers THEMSELVES have said they aren't deving on PC because of piracy, if you had read more than the first paragraph without raging you might have noticed that. Im just telling you to at least post something that is an example of what your complaining about. No need to get so pissy about it.And if you still get annoyed by something that fully explains and justifies itself then I suggest you don't read the internet.

My comment was subjective, my example illustrates my feelings. Don't agree with it? Fine, it's all down to relativism and we're at an impasse. Agree to disagree, no need to balloon a little off-the-cuff comment into something it's not.

    @GingerLord

Quite impressed with the MP so far though haven't been able to play it over the last couple of days due to Xbox Live issues. I'd say one crit would be that players can often spawn quite close to others which can be a bit unfair, apart from that though there's a decent map selection, players aren't really able to abuse the cloaking which I like and the whole ranking/perks system is cool (if very COD). By the way say hello to Mr Cooper for me, tell him he's a wanker

Implement a simple game file verification check and it's all good, no futher action needed. Maybe need to reset stats globally, since everyone and their mother have found out about it. But after that we have the actual cheaters (using DLL injections or what have you) to deal with, which I've seen a lot of already in my few sessions of multiplayer

Well this is pretty sad. Its really sucky to see a game go down the pooptoilet because of general lack of care for the PC port? Or just they have no idea? I mean punkbuster exists......
