Freelancer isn't that old, but a remake/sequel would be awesome.

X Beyond The Frontier was a godlike game, and very next-gen back in the day

The first ground control was breathtaking tactical strategy No GUI bullshit, no base building

One of the funniest and yet scariest and most brutal games I played: Myth 2. It is pretty difficult, has a elaborate and lively story.

I think a lot of the choices here lean more towards forgotten games than remakes....I know mine do

does anyone remember the name of the car game where you got points for destroying things? there was a yellow truck on the cover with black pinstripes. I wasted so many hours on that game.

Also, my first real online FPS

Also worth mentioning: Me totally ignoring section eight's post already mentioning any tie-fighter/x-win game and bonus points for HP for bringing up Deus Ex in yet another gd thread. You really like that game Helder WE GET IT!

    Oh yeah baby!!!

I also think we need a remake for crysis... looks fugly already!

Kidding aside, I would also love to play games like SystemShock2, Abes Oddysee, Classic Mega Drive Sonics, and a few other Mega Drive titles like Streets of Rage, all with today's technology and HD!

    Rollercoaster Tycoon ...

Much like the third game just without childish art style and aweful changes to the UI.

    YES.

Second that! Makes me want to get the torrent and spend my 10 day vacation playing it

Imagine it with some decent tech and trying to manage a zombie infection that eventually spreads and takes over your hospital, launching L4D's Mercy Hospital!

    Totally doable.

Yes. I wish I had a link for this one. Carmageddon owns, with modern physics and gore/deformation it'd be even better.
