He still manages to get a point tho. Or at least it's the way he puts things in perspective that makes it work.

i just disagree with what he's said because i have enjoyed everything i experienced. there's a few problems, but they are outweighed by the positives.

They aren't to be taken very seriously, he's paid to complain about whatever he can find in an amusing way. And that's great.

of course, i just wouldn't use zero punctuation as a way of deciding whether or not i should play a game or not.

Though, judging from the comments, many do.

I would wager that anyone who uses ZP to decide if they should buy a game or not has already made up their mind and simply uses it as justification to the internet. Not that the internet particularly cares.

i played it for 5 minutes yesterday at my neighbors. I just rode a horse around watching a stamina meter and shot a coyote. wasn't too exciting but I didn't play much, hopefully it gets better, i was expecting it to be amazing

This game is fucking amazing. It's been a long time I don't get hooked to a game like this =)

This game only becomes truly epic when you play it alone at home imo. You will experience some unique little moments you will wanna tell your buddies about. Stuff like weather and random encounters can't really make the game feel unique. Hell I remember spending about 10 minutes standing still on my horse just looking at a storm approaching, the wind getting stronger, curtains dancing wildly, the earth getting soaked and stuff like that.

It's games like Red Dead that give me hope and strength to cope with the every day bullshit we all have to cope with. I hope I'm able to work on such a game one day!

I was 100% sold on the game when I passed a bush and heard a rattlesnake. Then I jumped off my horse and walked back to the bush to see if there really was a snake there, or if it was just ambient sound. Then I got fucking bit twice and died as the little bastard snake slithered off. Incredible attention to detail with little things like that.

i don't get why people are so hostile towards something that combines comedy and review. sometimes when i've bought and completed a game, i would tune in to ZP to find the exact same complaints about said game that i had myself.

RDR was the first single player game I played all the way through since portal came out. It was absolutely fabulousness. I live in the same climate / region as the game is set in and the environments are just spectacularly done. I don't think I have played another game in recent memory where I could play for hours without seeing something in the environment that looked out of place, but the environments in RDR just look natural.
