I felt like Bear Grylls when, after surviving in the wilderness, I fast travelled back to town and slept in my room at the inn.

Finished it last night. Ending spoilers ahead.

One of the best games I've played.

I agree and the overall story was done really well. Will be remembered from beginning to end.

    Seeing those bugs...

.. makes me think we need more batshit games with those sorts of bugs as features. Awesome.

This game is so awesome. I thought Mexico was shit, but it got really exciting again now that I'm in Tall Trees/Great Plains.

I love the little easter eggs they put in this game. For example, I just found a random 'stranger' quest, where I have to coerce somebody using blackmail... The developers give you an item in your kit called 'Blackmail photos', and there are 3 photographs of 2 fully clothed characters engaging in really exaggerated sexual acts, it's hilarious. Check it out!

That side quest was awesome. Alot of the side quests were better then the main missions. Mexico was the low point, at least up until the end.

The guy fucking the fat mexican chick on the table was hilarious though.

Thanks for the replies guys. It's nice to know everyone is enjoying the game...and apparently some of its bugs.

For those of you who finished single player, I hope the end went a little better for you then it did for this guy.

HAH! I figured it'd be totally predictable and he'd just miss him in the duel

Man, it's been forever since I've come by these forums...Thanks for the positive responses guys. Make sure you get your pre-orders in!

Possibly the best game I have played in the last few years. Beats GTA:IV hands down; I am sure you didn't want to be compared to GTA but a lot of the surface stuff is very similar - no point in changing what works - but RDR is really a masterpiece.

The only thing I dislike about the game is that you don't end up facing the same way you started when you skin an animal/pick a plant/pluck a feather. If you could patch that in when you release some DLC I'll send you all cake.

Just a fantastic game, a wonderful experience, so much depth, so enjoyable and enthralling - I am not even 23% in (played about 12 hours just exploring and doing the ambient challenges, wandering the first "island" and encountering all the little things you guys put in), and already I am planning how to play my second playthrough; because like everyone I went the "Hero" first time around, next time it'll be playing as a complete bastard

I can't wait to get to Mexico, and even "Canada" - but the amount of variety in the environments in the first area alone is stunning.

Seriously enjoying this game. You guys should be very proud, very proud indeed.

    Easily 10/10 from me

So far I've only had time to log about 8 hours of singleplayer, but I also like this a lot more than GTA IV which I still consider an excellent game. I'm hoping to finish the SP by E3 but i'm so busy might not happen.

Really? That's quite a statement. There's only a couple of games that I rated 10/10.

I really need to buy this!

definitely, it's not a groundbreaking game, but it's a game that does a lot of things really well, and brings together a lot of ideas that seem to have been floating around in the ether but never really got made into a game.

That just wasnt funny because the game is actually to good to rip on in my opinion. Videos of the glitches are hilarious compared.

I would like to see Zero P review older games, like on the N64 or Gamecube, etc, much like James Rolf (AVGN) does his stuff. James shows never gets old.

That's funny, I feel completely the opposite: AVGN got old in 2008 while ZP manages to entertain me from time to time, when I agree with the points he makes.

AVGN is pretty amazing, especially when he brings in a "guest star" like that cracked out Bugs Bunny.

neither ZP or AVGN ever got old, it's just you not getting the humor anymore. it also serves as a good contrast to the rave everyone seems to be giving this game, i'll have to see for myself how 'good' it is.

you are aware that yahtzee has to shit on games, and the last time he raved about a game was when Orange Box came out. he can't give every game a glowing review because then it wouldn't be funny.

he can't praise every feature because then he wouldn't get people to come check out his videos and rage about them on other forums.

his complaints about the game seem very forced though.
