Just beat the game...

My overall opinion about the game was pretty good, but I can't say I'd ever play it again.

Too many parts that are just annoying, and too far from the original HL.

The "squad combat" stuff is incredibly annoying, I just did whatever I could to get them killed right away so they would stop being so troublesome.

I definately could have done without that...

Remember that in the first half-life you would often have a barney following you around, and he was a good shot. This is just an upgrade of that, and it fits into the story.

You just need to know how to use the c button.

The Whole game is ....... just so good.

I'm playing it again and finding all this new stuff, I suggest you all do the same.

i wish they would fix the c button so that your group would actually follow orders when theyre in a firefight. they tend to just stand there and youre mashing c telling them to go to cover.

btw you have to hold down C....i was having the same problem too

the only thing i possibly see wrong with the game is a problem with the way i play first person shooters. every time you were supposed to go down the beaten path in order to get somewhere i would try to jump over shit or bunny hop or shit like that....and because of it died a lot (especially on the levels with the stryders)

it was worth playing to where i am now just to get the spoiler gun

The C button sucks becuase you tell them to stay at a certain point, then five seconds later they are following you again.

Not to mention the squads were in my way at ALL possible times.

I only wish I could shoot and kill them, because I would have done it on every occasion.

yeah it sorta failed at squad combat a bit, but it suceeded in so many other places. Had they just not tried to make you believe you had control it probably wouldn't have been so bad.

oh and the ability to snipe their sorry asses would have been graeat.

i actually felt bad when the snipers got the guys following me across those streets
