Thanks, I've been meaning to get the sensor cleaned for a while sometimes forget to photoshop it out.

Whatever you do DO NOT clean the sensor yourself

And if you ABSOLUTELY have to, NEVER use compressed air or anything of the like

Yeah, I didn't intend to do anything of the sort, too expensive for my DIY tastes

    DIY = do it yourself?

This spot is probably on the lens, a simply soft brush is enough to take it out (a brush can also be used (cautiously) on the sensor to remove that kind of things)

Nope, it shows up on all my pictures no matter what lens I use.

I'm not so into photography but you sure seem to have a unique style. The kind of pictures you can use in high profile adverts. Keep it up

Wow, another amazing set of photos on this page! This one is one of my favorites, along with the architectural shots in your last post,

[Blocked Image: http://i44.tinypic.com/i28zso.jpg] The DOF could've been a bit stronger in the background maybe but other than that I really like the composition and color, you keep wondering what the chair is doing there.

And a question, in this picture, did you gave the sky any sort of hdr-threatment or did you just edit it a bit, I'm wondering how you got it to look so dramatic.

Nope, no HDR used here, I simply do 2-3 passes of adjustment brushes in the raw->bitmap conversion tool, the one where you can change the white balance/exposure etc.

I usually do a brush with -1 exposure with added contrast and saturation and paint out areas that I'm not focusing so much on, and then do the opposite for highlights.

Thanks for the comments guys, really helps

    Nice updates!

    Are the buildings shots HDR?

Thanks, but no, I haven't had much luck with HDR that looks good (I've tried, believe me) but I've scrapped it in favor of simple adjustment brushes in the raw conversion tool. Those allow you to paint in custom exposure levels etc.

Ok, I know that method but it's very long as compared with HDR treatment. The result is quite nice though. Just pity that the halos are so visible.

I've had that comment before so it's something I definitely need to work on, but when you've been working on a picture for an hour you stop noticing the halo, it's really not that distracting when you're zoomed in.

since i don't make maps, i think it is time to post some photos in exchange

i made this one yesterday while i had been on my way home from a party. i had my "good" camera with me so i could make the required changes to the settings (exposure, iso, blabla). next weekend i will hopefully see the same imagery with this nice girl i met

this panorama was made after work with a beer aside i was relaxing, enjoying the landscape and thinking of the girl mentioned above and how awesome it would have been if should had been there
