As some of you might know, me and Lee3Dee are working on a Aliens scene, for the game-artist.net environment art competition.

I'll be using this thread to post a few screenshots of our progress!

Here's a few ingame pics of the APU. (No texture, no normal maps, nothing.. just naked geometry)

There's some strange geometry errors, and messed up smoothing groups, bla bla! Just try and ignore all that for now.

Hah, I'll be watching this. Nice choice for your scene, lots of potential here. Nice work on the props so far too .

just wondering if UE3 would be easier to work with for such a scene. i always had issues with correct indoor lighting in CE2.

    I'll watch this with attention.

I had the idea of recreating Eraserhead's theatre in the radiator scene but well, I don't have the time for the moment.

    Good luck you two!

I think the apc needs to be a little bigger. If you are going for scale to the player model?

Scale can be changed in the editor in a few seconds, so I'm not really worried with that.

Here's a very quick High Poly attempt for the APC, I still wanna add a few more details but I'm gonna call it a day.

It's far from being perfect, the normal map has a few errors, but i can't keep on working on this piece forever, gotta move on.

Seriously awesome, and a great scene to pick too. I really see Crysis's volumetric fog coming in jizz worthy handiness here.
