I say these forums become cool like the somethingawful forums, I can read them all day.

We need more posts about .... 'stuff', more images in threads and funny photoshops.

Come on people! We can do it.

SA has like ~50 000 registered users. Mapcore has maybe 20 active ones.

Looks like we will be working overtime producing the funny, lads!

50,000 users and extra forums for photoshopping threads and whatnot means more bandwidth.

More bandwidth requires more money, which some people aren't willing to put out for extra meaningless stuff.

Someone's not a member of SA. It's a very regulated and professional forums. Some very good sections that you don't see as a non-member.

There is a difference though, SA is a one stop huge general forum that has no emphasis in any one thing, besides maybe image macros and catchphrases. Mapcore has an emphasis on GAMES. A lot of people seem to forget that. As soon as you try and make mapcore into something general and lose that focus, then the purpose of mapcore has evaporated.

Exactly. Mapcore's a creative environment, not a circus for pity's sake!

Mapcore is around to further eachother's talents, skills, and chances into the game industry by helping eachother and promoting eachother. Not a general emphasis forum. Keep SA to SA and Mapcore to Mapcore. Its bad enough we have EOT but I guess that forum is kind of nesc.

I often think people should try actually reading and assorbing mapcore's current slogon.

    A GAME DESIGN COMMUNITY.

Lets get serious people. EOT's there so people don't explode and gib into little pieces from keeping it in. The rest of mapcore, should maintain a professional and serious approach to game design, which I think, it's slowly loosing. I'm checking the WIP Level Gallery less and less nowdays.

    and posting in, even less.

You can't complain people are putting less stuff out if you, yourself are not at all. The truth of the matter is a large number of us are doing stuff in our free time and you'll see it when you see it.

I would like to see some big write ups on the Design aspect of mapping, because its relevant to everyone (if not why are you here).

And I would like to read it
