I can certainly understand the concept of someone taking somebody else’s thing. Like, if I bought bacon with the intention of cooking it, chopping it up and throwing it into one of my famous omelettes, I’d be real pissed if some jerk showed up, took all my bacon and made their own breakfast with it. Even if that jerk was Warner Brothers, and even if their breakfast looked fucking awesome.

You may say “I don’t care what you think, DOB,” to which I’d respond, “That’s some tough talk for someone with an acre of dicks in their mouth.”And even when you meekly protest that they don’t measure dicks in acres, I won’t be able to hear you.

    Because of all the dicks.

It did say that fox has owned the rights to the movie since the 80's though, right? In that case, Warner is in the wrong. I don't think they should prevent or get all proceeds from the movie but legally they certainly deserve to get some sort of compensation for breach of contract.

oh most definitely. they have the right to get every penny they want, and it's a pretty smart dick move... but that's the thing: it's a dick move to say this before the movie is launched into cinemas. fox had lots of time to put a stop to the movie when it was first announced, but they choose not to for fiscal gain/rupture. i'd call that bending the rules or exploiting the law for a greater outcome; and i honestly think the law should be changed so that this couldn't happen in the future (however much unlikely that is due to all the factors involved).

it's like with the freedom of speech; you have the right to say what you want, but you at least ought to use it responsibly and not to soil others with intent on harming them (see: mohammed drawings).
