you shouldnt use the slice tool for that monitor, instead connect the edges. (select both and connect tool in edit poly)

    much faster and more exact

or even inset for that matter

what in the world are you talking about?

i used the slice tool at the very beginning of the model (sliced the bottom thing in two, and extruded it up to make the back supporting stuff..)

ya instead of slice u connect so you get a straight line

altho i was looking at the screen part it still applies, just a tidbit of knowledge for a fledgeling modeler

i still dont see what you mean, because everything on that model is a straight line, and everything is connected... ?

well, its possible to get a perfectly straight line with slice, but you better double checkk, use the un uniform scale and scale the axis where they are supposed to be straight to 0%

Ok, so basicly, the slice tool is very fucked up and i should never ever touch it again (just like in hammer) ?

Well, after watching some videotutorials, i decided id try to make a radiator...

I made one wheel, tried to copy it over, then merge the two together... Offcourse that didnt work, so i got frustrated, and beat the crap out of my keyboard...

Then i tried making my bed.. made half, tried to copy it over, and merge again.. fucking shit didnt work this time either fucking hell piece of crap....

So i started messing around with smooth-stuff, on my barrel.. looks alot better now

Finally i started making the lamp which stands beside my monitor... took me a couple of hours to finish it:

    polycount is around 500 (i think.. )
