I would imagine it's pretty much certain New York got its name from the original York, yes.

mediocre shooter you mean.i may just be pampered by better shooter games such as gears of war or half life 2, but resistance almost just as bad as halo.

You're awesome man, I often agree with you, but only ever to a point...

Well it was alright as a launch title I guess, but it never really broke free from the fact that it wouldn't have been even slightly interesting if it hadn't been a launch title.

Ouch... I liked Resistance, did it have problems? Of course but overall I liked it. The story I felt was was way better then halo2/3 or gears. Granted I didnt like gears at all and played coop for the dialogue humor and halo while very polished overall went downhill alot after the original.

From what I've seen Killzone 2 looks like a very good game :santahurg:

As others have said it looks real nice in motion, the art is obviously very high quality for a console. IR and co you rock!

Why do they make such a big deal out of their bullet physics? They don't even look that good, at least as soon as the enemies die they look like they weigh 15 kilos and are inflated with helium

It's an FPS... of course it's what makes the game up.

i don't see what the fuss about this game is either. i mean if it's anything near what halo, resistance or equivalents stand for, it's a snoozefest for me.

wow and I thought game development had moved on since Doom 1 o_O Something like Storyline, Plot, Sub-Plot, Artstyle, Innovative Gameplay in any kind...

It's clearly a video of just the shooting element, though — other videos have showed the things you describe. To expect a bullet physics video to contain anything other than bullets flying around just seems a bit strange to me.

The game itself looks fun and nice it's just I get that horrible feeling the environments are going to get boring quickly. Like doom3?

I might be wrong but it would be nice to see something not all industrial, dirty and well ... done to hell. As for the video, it's slomo, so it's almost impossible for it not to look cool

I think a little too much is being extrapolated from a minute-thirty death montage video.

"Where the fucks my intellectually stimulating narrative amongst the series of death animations????"

Hey don't diss Doom 3. Great game

I liked what I saw, boring trailer but the game looked nice! I liked the ragdolls, best I've seen yet I think.

I just wondered what kind of trailer this is.

It's just a video from CES 09 dude!! Not a trailer... There's a lot more on GT, i just posted that one cos I found it to be really awesome!
