Finally found some time to pick up mapping again I wiped the dust of an older map I never released: DE-RECON. Ive redone most bits, added grass, shootable trees, birds, helikopters, deer and the A-team theme

Map will be done in a couple of days, here are some screenies:

    I'm curious.

What's going on with the floating person in the second shot? And, is the deer actually animated, killable etc.?

A-Team Theme is an instant win. Looks solid. Make sure you look into de_forrest, some nice techniques there for nature/plant works in source.

Tested the first version of this map, and I really liked the custom vehicles. Keep it up mate! (how's about a cs_bikini remake on src engine? )

I concur, damn that was a pleasant environment for a hostage situation.

I'll check it out later and tell you what I think. Might be a good idea next time to post a direct download link for the map and edit your original post to include a download link.

I took it for a brief spin yesterday. Love all the personal touches typicall of all your maps. My favourite was the Army of Darkness reference . The birds that take off when distrurbed was also a very nice touch.

Overall it's impressive though I'm not sure about some of the terrain modelling, some areas appear heavily reliant on brushes, as appose to displacements, and don't look very natural. There's a lot of LOD popping going on too, personally I'd increase the range before the LODs kick in or remove some entirely, it would increase the budget but I think it would be worthwhile.

I'm looking forward to checking out the gameplay at a LAN next weekend

Great stuff as always Mike. I hope you continue to occasionally release stuff for Source or future engines.
