While the realism of the self-defibrillation is arguable, it's not like stretching the limits of technology and such is exactly something new to the Bond series. To say it's one of the lowest points in the whole franchise seems absolutely ludicrous, especially considering the stuff we've seen in the Brosnan films (invisible car that also makes stuff behind it invisible) and the classics (MOONRAKER). I thought the whole scene leading up to and including the defibrillation was good and great drama.

I'm going to reiterate that IMO Casino Royale was better than most of the Brosnan films, although I continue to think GoldenEye and Tomorrow Never Dies were great films. If you disagree, well fair enough — I don't mind if you're part of that minority.

Whatever. No reason to go in angry fanboy mode...

I basicly base my opinion on the fact that i dont remember much from all of the movies. They were all quite forgettable experiences to me so i dont see why i should rate one above the other.

I know that the last two Bonds are a big thing for you brits because the main actor is british so dont mind me and just enjoy the movies.

lol, that makes me think about something, "realism". If you ask someone who don't like James Bond movies, why in the world they hate it so much, the answer will prolly be: "the stunts on the move are impossible, there's not a single bit of realism into it!" ... No fucking way?! that's the whole point, and 007 movie directors know that, they grab a small piece of "realism" and push it to the limits until it's fun to watch!

Cos that's the whole point of watching a movie, pretty much like games, having a good time and having fun!

Actualy thats not true. Germany is a federation made of a shitload of former souvereign states and kingdoms. 1870/71 was the first time in german history that the german tribes got unified to one big country. Only Austria who lost the german war against prussia decided to stay away. Look at the mess it was before:

Saw the movie this past weekend. Liked it alot, the plot weren't the best but it definitely delivered solid movie value.

Exactly! I just saw it, and I loved it, it's a good movie, but yeah the plot wasn't perfect... It felt like the creators of the movie ran out of inspiration...

I liked it, it wasn't as good as Casino Royale but then I never expected it to be and I enjoyed what I saw, roll on Daniel Craig movie #3

I was sceptical when the cast Craig as bond but he gets better each time.

Just saw and enjoyed it.

The storytelling definitely wasn't as tidy as Casino Royale's, leaving little strands either unsatisfactorily closed or not closed at all. Although the overall story arc continues from Casino Royale, the aforementioned film still felt like a very complete story and in fact I didn't assume it'd be continued in Quantum of Solace until I saw the trailers.

With Quantum of Solace, I feel like it's almost certainly going to be continued; it's one of those films where it ends and you think "FFS, they're ending it there?". But then, if they tried to cram it all into this film it wouldn't do it justice. They've kind of

However the action and everything else more than made up for any storytelling dissatisfaction and to be honest there's nothing that wrong with the storytelling — it just isn't as neat and tidy as Casino Royale's. Well worth watching.
