The only good thing I can think of is a file format that actually works well between all three programs.

Seems like it is basically becoming a case of giants owning an entire industry these days. Just look at Adobe, too.

As long as the softwares stay the same and file compatibility is improved then I'm fine with it. Don't forget that autodesk also owns Mudbox, what's next? Zbrush?
