I missed Pacifist and that must've been what happened. I have Foxiest of the Hounds though, and I was a bit worried given how vague the description is.
I’m not going to do a third play through just yet, but I could try and get the others I've missed (lame ones like read every randomly significant e-book). I guess the alternative would be to not care about achievements, but I seem to collect them for games I like because it shows I put the effort in, even though nobody cares.
Still, could be fun to go around gassing everyone. Or grabbing the eye augment, chucking concussion grenades/mines everywhere, and putting the fist in pacifist.
Quote3rd boss wasn't such a pain this time because I was ready. Explosive revolver and mines under all the sections he jumps between. "Find me Jensen" *bang*. 'dem bosses, though. I wouldn’t mind if either: they were bigger characters, I could do a stealth route, or they didn’t do this arcadey attack pattern and instant-kill business
Looking back, I wish the augments were a bit stronger. At one point on my hard run I noticed I had six points to spend and had trouble deciding what to get - not because I couldn't think of what I needed but because none of them would really do anything.
I never brought aim and hit everything no problem, and I'm sure the laser dot says it does the same effect anyway. The stealth ones don't really add anything useful. Looking through walls would be great but it drains your power so you just use the radar all game. The battery recharge time was essential, but extra batteries were pointless because the game wants to keep you perpetually at one battery without popping items to prevent abuse (hello cloak + takedown). Silent running has nothing on cloak + crouch no matter how many points you waste. Hacking has way too many augments but becomes your 'dump stat' because you don't like loading save games. Whine whine.

I've just found a really funny way to get into the hive:
QuoteTalk to the securty guard on the front door, then kill him and get inside before anybody notices. Once you are inside nobody will give a damn.

I liked how during the
Quote"Defend the Alamo" moment, while you're waiting for the elevator to come down, you can just block both entrances with vending machines and crates, and just sit there and twiddle your thumbs.

Finished it now. 22 hours!
It was a good game, but fell just a little bit short of being a great game.
QuoteIt was primarily the narrative and the characters that weren't up to scratch imho.
I'll make a more elaborate post once I've let the game sink in completely

What's the deal with beer? I had 135HP and now only 100
Is it only a temporary effect? -

As I wrote earlier, I've finished the game and while I loved most of it, I was a bit disappointed by the story.
I've written some criticisms below. Did I just miss something? Do you guys agree/disagree?
QuoteThe story was promising at the start of the game, but as you got further the game started over-relying on twists that were triggered by Jensen speaking to some cornered villain with his batman voice. The antagonists always spilled the beans, detailing their evil plans like some cheesy Bond-villain. And sadly, few of the antagonists were interesting and generally they had very little depth. For example, it was a big WTF-moment when the 3rd boss opened up and said, roughly, "men like us never get the things we love". DUDE, I don't even know you and I just tore you a new one; this does not count as character development! It was an even bigger WTF-moment when that evil asian CEO bitch hooked herself up to that "quantum something something". She detailed her evil plans, jumped in and got raped. Uhm, what was that all about?
In general, I just felt that the plot lacked coherency; it was all over the place towards the end to be honest. It's a shame since there was so much potential there. The gameplay itself was a lot of fun, the environments were top-notch and some allied characters were interesting (like Malik and Sarif). Oh, and don't get me started on Hugh Darrow, that British fuck.

Quote from PaulH
I just
Quotesat underneath the stairs, there's a little tunnel and they can't find you. Then when it arrived i cloaked up and popped out and into the lift.
Same here, almost felt a little too anticlimactic, would've been neat if they had some patrols back to that area just to freak people out

lol @ boss fights... wtf?
I've been playing as stealthy throughout, and for the boss fights I have to shoot the shit out of them? What a load of shit. Awful game design ._.

Just carry a revolver with you. Geeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeez.
Finished it earlier today, loved it. Such great atmosphere.

I played stealth up until Highland park factory and I don't miss it one bit to be honest. It was fun for a while but got really boring for me. I felt like a big pussy. Fuck that.
I also purchased my now two favorite augs: Icarus landing + the leg enhancements to jump higher. They are really really useful in China. I wish there was a long jump aug, just like the one in The Specialists, that would own

in singapore now. playing on the hardest difficulty, about 80/20% stealth vs combat/confrontation. i'm thinking i wanna see if i can do a "ghost" run at some point (no combat, ghost/smooth operator on every objective, no takedowns)
